Ashamed or Proud?

Was working a few things out earlier, and did actually scare myself:

With alts and past characters and things, my total /played time is approx 110 on all characters <over half of which are Shaeffer alone hehe>

Shaeffer's played is approx 60days

Taking an average of 7hrs sleep a night, 7/24 x365 = 106.45 days.

I work 8.5 hour days, which is 42.5hrs a week, knocked up by 52 weeks in a year is a total of 2210hrs, or 92.08 days.

Pulling these off as percentages,

29.2% of the last year was spent sleeping
30.1% was spent doing Daoc
16.4% was spent on Shaeffer
25.2% was spent working
15.5% was spent 'doing other stuff'

Meep! I spend more time doing Daoc than anything else! To top things off, Ive not included Holidays from work, which would lower the working time and boost the 'doing other stuff' even more <whimpers>

Do it yourself, its a little scary when you break it down

Scary stuff!!:eek6:

I don't have the guts to to the math myself, and I'm not even 50 yet, even though I played for over a year now:)

Neither ashamed or proud really.....you can do what you want with your free time.

Personally, I get bored of playing the game for more than a couple of hours at a stretch - after just over a year of playing i've probably played about 35 days and thats more than enough for me.

I'm not sure how people that play all day get mentally stimulated enough to not get incredibly bored....and if you are bored then why the hell do you keep playing so much?!

Well, aslong as you enjoy it and not taking any damage from it, i dont see anything wrong with it

Well thats the big diff, between normal you play on your own games, and games like daoc, you have always someone to chat with.

To me DAOC died a long time ago as a game. Now I use it as a glorified chat room to be honest.

I think the scariest thing I've ever done looking back was sitting in the Stone in Camelot from 7am to 2am the following morning...without moving at all.

eep :p

GET OUT MORE!

;)

Just kidding, whatever floats your boat, really. I think I've got just under 30 days /played overall for the past year - and that's scary enough.

Blimey.

Dont underestimate the power of MMORPG's ;)

The beauty of daoc is the combination of a fabolous gameplay and a social part.

Its all about balance. If someone wants to play daoc rather than go out and do whatever then np, but a break now and then and a bit of fresh air doesn't hurt.

Sometimes a total break is great too - 6 months break here and enjoying it again.

I think on one school holiday, i spent 14 hours a day on DAoC, 2 hours eating, 2 hours wondering whats on TV and 6 hours sleeping, i kept it up for four weeks :X
