ASE Speed

Anyone else noticing that All Seeing Eye has been running slow recently?

Takes forever (10-20 secs) to start scanning

I've actually switched back to GS3D atm, now the Gamespy Master stuff actually seems to work properly its damn good, but I've got the registered version, so no gay ads.

ASE is good, but the interface still bugs me at times.

Mine sometimes wont connect to the scanner at all, suggesting reconnection. So I close ASE, start it up again, then it wont do the Buddy scan, cos my registration is in use by someone else (me dammit )

I have found mine takes a long time scanning 10+ servers at a time recently but scan 5 and its done in a second, sounds similar .

Hehe peasants mine is registered and runs as fast as fuck. Save up some of yer pocket money and registere yours too

HLSW is a very handy little program for joining servers, though you have to set up the lists yourself (or borrow the files from someone else ).

I only use ASE for Operation Flashpoint now, HLSW covers all Halflife mods, and UT, which is all I need. It does those Quake games too, whatever they are, and a few things based on them.

The only problem with ASE is that there is only one scanner. I wonder if BW could setup a UK based scanner for ASE?

I've put it off for a while - but I whipped out my flexable friend (oh ur missus) and reged it.
