Artifacts for a Thane..

Well, im about to start on gathering artifacts for my UBERDUBERWTFPWN4THOR set.
And well, i really know shit about toa and its artifacts so im just curious what artifacts i should get as a thane. Im a axe-troll to, and would like a nice toa weapon to So, if any of you would like to help me i would really apprieciate that.

you can get... Malice axe 1h + Cyclope shield medium, Eirene haubeck, Crowh of Zahur or Winged helm, Sun belt for energy damage mp weaps... but its not good in SC, Shades of Mist cloak for shapeform and abla 200 proc so noone can see you a thane ? Dunno what else could be good for a thane
Dream Sphre maybe ... to get group easier

sun belt for definate, the energy debuff just makes the instas so much more powerful. eirenes is a pig to get (just about the hardest artifact to get afair)

not entirely worked out what i want myself, i have the sun belt already, but i don't want too many others as leveling them is a pain, will probably try for a couple of others over time though.

am tempted by bruiser, purely for siege law as it is like having a personal ram for 1.5 minutes. but then again i'm stormlord, not battlemaster

That Shades of Mist wasnt really what i was looking for..
As Quickness is something i really dont see a must capping. So if theres some cloaks with better utility out there?

What about that Harpy Cloak? Is that any good? Or are there better around? Reason i need a cloak is because of looks to btw ^

Get Ceremonial Bracer for the "mesmeration feedback" ability. This should really help since you lack determination. Imo its a perfect item for skalds and thanes.

unfortunately it doesn't work on realm points but on the experience gained for each kill which is pretty low in rvr especially in a group as you are killing same level creatures or less each kill and then between a group.

For the belot of the sun i'm gaining about 1 percent for teh equivilent of 2 or 3 yellows solo so if you do the multiplication it's quite a lot, although if you rvr a lot it will add up whilst you are fighting over a long time I guess.

gaurd of valor is also a really good choice as it both got +4% style, melee, range on spells and spell dmg, it a maybe the best hauberk for all hybrids there both use melee and spells

You dont have to kill enemy players in rvr for the bracer to level - you can kill mobs: its much faster. Just find a secluded spot somewhere in alb frontiers and youll have a level 10 artifact pretty fast.

Im thinking of dropping thane tg haub for guard of valour.. but i need the info from a thane on us if we get the 4% casting speed at lvl 0 else ill hold on to the heal procc some more...
As you know i respecced to sword to get spear of kings.. only to find out they nerfed the thrust dmg *sigh*

Try not to get to many artifacts.. can easy become to much imo...
there are really good jewelery/armour that are great that doesnt require time of you.. but might make you some plats less richer..

the artifacts that i have planned to use is:
Battler 1h
Spear of kings 2h
maddening scalars gloves (shape shit to a wooolf + some other good stuff)

as for cloak check out hardend cetus skin.. awsome look/utility
also one that droppes in ml9 dungeon cant remember name...

and check out the medium shields.. since there are no real "market" for them ppl tend to have a low price altho its a good item

trying to get toa jewelry/armour pieces to fit together is a complete mess btw

Keeping it real, and want to get Malice's Axe and Cyclop's Eye Shield.
Mainly for the looks, and their nice stats added onto that.
If youre getting the Valor thingy, could i get your TG-Hauberk? For a small fee ofcourse

There are some really good medium shield drops out there, especially the ones with 80pt reactive heal proc (don't know the fire rate, but suspect it fires more than a heal proc on armour due to the amount of blocking in RvR) think they drop in the later ml dungeons.

Once i've leveled my belt of the sun i think i will try to get hold of the GoV as it looks nice. And with the news that the ceremonial bracer cna be leveled off mobs in enemy frontiers I now want it!

lol, the chain ligntning looks a bit gimpy imo. GIVF group energy based damage shield IMO

problem is that shields have such gimpy stats :/ i mean i dont want str on my shield nor hits con and other stuff like that.. the perfect thane shield would be shield parry sc and piety but why would mythic do us a favour and accually make us a item like that

Yeah, it's a shame, hybrids are the overlooked bastard sons of Daoc. We get shite ra's we are told we aren't designed for anything except PvE and non optimum RvR and we get the bum end of the wedge when it comes to artifacts.

One day mythic will realise that hybrids are probably the most fun classes to play and that people want to play them but don't atm.

Well, tbh i would not take determination if i was a hybrid - 34% reduction is simply not enough to make a real difference (its just slightly better than det2 today). I would get Purge3 instead: 5 min timer means you will at least have a purge in most battles.

it's all a matter of payoffs. 34 percent reduction+26 percent basic capped resists = 60 percent mez reduction which is pretty reasonable although the 34 percent cost blows.

The purge is quite good as it doesn't reset immunity timers, but agian it's a 30 point cost for the 5 minute version and you can can get re cc'd right after purge as long as it's on a different timer.

I always thought the timer thing was a bit sucky would be better in terms of RvR in the current state if all forms of cc set off an immunity timer at 2xactual time controlled for all other forms.

ie. Stunned for 6 seconds = can't be re controlled for 6 seconds. mezzed for 1 minute = 1 minute immunity from all cc.

Det and resists shouldn't affect immunity timer, but AE falloff radius should.

Im pretty sure your basic item (body) 26% resist dont add directly to the reduction - if this was so then a tank with todays det5 (75%) would have 101% reduction I always thought body resist only factored into the chanse that you got mezzed at all (i.e. if you resist or not).

And also, even if you use your 5 min purge on a mezz and then get rooted etc you can still use your thane magic to interupt with^^

I think you count Det or resist first.

Something like. Messed for 100 seconds.

100%-75% from det 5 = 25 seconds

and then 26% of the remianing amount.

25secs - 50% resist = 12secs.

THIS IS JUST AND EXAMPLE, AND I AM NOT SURE IF IT´S RIGHT.
