Hi,

I've been trying to come up with a formula for artifacts hunts that will be fair for all and encourage people to turn out for the events and indeed stay until they are over.

This requires rules, and while I've been haveing a think as to what they should be there are gaps in my knowledge so I thought I'd make a post to pick the brains of you all.

Heres some suggestions for rules for one appraoch.

One Arti Each Approach (1fg)

1. Everyone in the group picks from a predefined list of artifacts.

I think any artifacts that do not spawn often or need to be camped for hours should be excluded from this type of group.

If anyone has and insight into which artifacts could be included please post.

I've noticed the follow have been available when I've done them..but have only tried a few.

Spear of Kings
Malice Axe
Is cerimonial Bracer always up?

I really need to do some research to compile a list like this but input form you all will help :)

2. Artifacts that do drop should be held by the treasurer until they have all been obtained therefore closing the hunt. (this potentially could span more than one day, but is important)

3. Non Garenteed drops - this is down to luck unfortunatly and if an arti does not drop it can't be expected to be farmed 5 times before the raid is completed.

Any thoughts/comments please? I've had a couple of meets so far but seems without establishing clear rules first, things do not go to plan.

God Bless ToA...wish I could be farming mids instead! ;)

Guess its luck of the draw on some tho, like malice etc, whether there're up or not , then theres things like sok, have done it now 3 times with a friend via the techniques suggested on VoS yet still no credit/drop.

All the artis ppl will be after will more than likely be the popular ones which get farmed a lot so its a bit of a vicious circle imo.

One suggestion might be to get people to specify in advance, in order of desire, 3 or 4 artifacts they are after. Then choose a list according to Zone so that you have 5 or 6 arties that are relatively close together for the group to try and farm on any particular evening, and use decent maps to plan a circuit route round those arties. People won't mind running around so much if there is at least a plan behind the running... and shorter distances to run between possible arty drop locations will reault in lower group frustration levels as well, hopefully.
