i know there have been threads on this before....but i want my own whine :<

I checked my arti durabulity on my tartasos this evening and it was 71%....noticed it was on 99% con so repaired it and it dropped to 69% ><

I now know that its supposed 2 do this after some forum searching ~~ (item repair takes the amount repaired +1 from your durability) when as this implemented? i had sidi swords on my merc pre TOA for ages and they are still very high dur even after alot of use.

Also does anyone know of any plan to alow you to restore item/artifact durability? Seems a bit lame if my tartasos goes out of use and im stuck with a template that relys on traldors charges to go up to 9% spell dmg :<

Seems like mythic are punishing the players that spend the most time playing, since casual players dont stand much chance of killing of their items in this way :x

now im gona be hyper paranoid about using durability on my staff :< fun!

mythic never said they would do a durability thing they want people to use different artifacts but for casters its a bit silly.

Well for me it is my main casting spell is mushrooms and i cast them a damn lot on keep defence but if i unequip my tarts to use belt of the moon staff (much more wiser) i end up having to wait 15 mins for my mcl 2 charge on tats to come back up and tbh its more important to have that up in rvr.

Just try and ration your artifact usage or get the other two staffs staff off gods and traldors and decide which you want to destroy first.

I know what you mean about durability i had a galladoria staff for nearly 2 years abused it through 2 chars and i think i got it down to about 10% durability :)

artis seem to be knackered way too quickly

staffs seem to decay faster than other stuff
probably due to over the top cast rate :p
get uncapped cast speed and have your artis last longer!

When I left daoc my tartaros was on 8% dur, so if I wanna come back some day Im gonna have to use another template :(

As far as I can see a rr11 caster with all ra's in passives and no ToA is easily outdamaged by a fully ToA'd rr1 caster in most situations (who also gets free MCL2, and arguably some other stuff equal in utility to some RAs).

I bet there's some pretty fucked-off rr11 casters with their templates shot-to-hell already on US servers :).

Personally, my tartaros is on 50% dura or something, but having fun playing with the non-opted staff of gods and the capped spell duration which is much easier to fit in a caster template without tartaros/cs (hello 12s baseline stun, nearly 2min duration steathlore, 19s ST, etc..).

Staves do seem to degrade very fast.
As for artefacts, someone has told me that you can take them back to the Arbiter in Atlantis (or someone there) and get them fully repaired, but that their levels are reset back to zero, so you have to level them again.
I've also been told that once you have an artefact, if you destroy it or lose it, that character can never get it again by doing the quest. So be very careful not to destroy or lose them!

Maybe so. But, if you think about it, if a character can only ever possess a particular artefact once only, then eventually that character would end up with no artefacts at all, because all the ones he/she could use would lose all durability etc. That would be very cruel of Mythic, especially if it's your favourite or main character.

It does seem to make sense, therefore, that somehow you might be able to get the artefacts fully repaired... but at the penalty of having to level them again.

You can't repair artis, Mythic are cruel :<

Maybe in a future patch, something like an Arti Repair stone drop, probably really rare too
