Played it for 5 hours yesterday with a friend, my first impressions are as follows. Singleplayer is good, not great but pretty good and the story has a decent flow to it. The game mechanics are sound, some of the team mechanics such as back to back work brilliantly. A couple of the controls could have been done better such as team weapon swap but generally everything feels pretty tight. The game is pretty short by all accounts but I am just over half way through after 5 hours, I don't skip cutscenes and always explore though.
The co-op is where this game really shines, the command interface disappears and instead you are relying on your human team mate. This makes the controls a little less busy and leaves you more time to manouvre around the maps concentrating on your own thing like controlling the aggro. As good as the singleplayer is it just doesn't feel as fluid as the co-op, you still get all the story but you get to play along with a mate and never have to rely on the AI to save your arse.
I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, will try have a go at that in the next couple of days. So far I would have to say the game is a very solid 85%, some things could have been done better but if you like co-op shooters then Army of Two does it very well.
