ArmsmanTemplate Help Plz

Hi all,

Ive got a 50 arms that I havent really played in 2.5 years.

A long time ago I got someone to do me a template from the guild and went through the grind of putting it all together.

Now im running arounf the NF like a super gimp from the 1970's with bucket head etc lol.

At the moment my spec is..

slash 12+1
crush 1+1
thrust 39+12
polearm 50+4
shield 42+12
parry 6+12
2 handed 1+1
crossbow 1+1

Basically i dont like this spec because I have to switch all the time so im looking for a template where I dont need to switch. I used to be a slash/shield and parry spec so would rather not go slash again.

If anyone can give me a pre prepared armsman full template I would greatly appreciate it as I really cant go through the carry on of trying to do one myself basically if someone could give me a good template illl just use that.

Hi mate, welcome back.

Firstly, for template advice read Echomes thread further down a few days ago, I already said everything in there.

As for spec you have 3 choices if you do not want to switch weapons:

Pure shield/weapon spec (either crush or slash).

Pure pole

Pure 2H

My personal advice, is to consider pure pole or shield/crush with the rest in parry.

If you plan to group alot and bodyguard people then shield/crush is fine.

If you plan to solo then pure pole is the way to go.

I am trying to make a template atm, with some advice from kagato and some blokes at the vn boards, but I seem to be a gimp at it. But ill post mine in a few days when I get satisfied with it. Then you can have a look at that if you like.

Also if you are looking for a new spec, give kagato's movies a try and you will see what you can do with full pole spec.

Used to be full pole but trying the hybrid spec atm and like it tbh. But all comes down to playstyle. If you don't want to change weapons then I would say go full pole high parry spec - rocks in 1 vs. 1 melee fights... :worthy:

On the flip side going pure s/s ( or mace/shield as such). Would be a great spec for fighting other heavy tanks.

But for the sake of the bragging points in killing other heavy tanks, you'll be severely limited in what else you can kill solo out in the field.

But it does have its benefits and its much easier to make a template with 2 weapons slots rather then just 1 2H slot.

Tbh ive been thinking about giving full crush/shield a go in RvR... but afraid to give up my current dmg hehe.
