ok my armswoman is 502h 39 slash 42 shield spec
i tried making a template , but i tought it was pretty crap
so could any please help me with a good template?

To many artifacts and to many imbue'd slots.

I'd suggest aiming for 3 good utility armour drops and 3 imbue'd, and by good utility I don't mean crap artifacts.

You will never manage to cap the essential's whilst using so many items with 25-34 utility value, you need to be looking at some good ML drops preferably with +All melee skills on, when you have to double-spec those items are a god send.

Ditch the ring of tempest, I suggest you look at things like Ring of Arcane strength, Demon Blood or something with over 60 utility you can actually use all the stats off.

I presume your going to be grouping seeing as the 0 dex and hybrid/2h spec wont do you any good solo, in which case the SoM cloak is really a waste anyway as you'll mostly either be left till last to kill or under spellcaster fire anyway, so you may as well use a cloak with some half decent stats.

Look at feathered wrap or flowing antalya shawl if your budget will stretch that far.

Theres plenty of great armour items out there with 60-120 odd utility when the +all melee is taken into consideration which it should be given that it benefits you twice for double spec.

Legs of Subjugator
Magma Befouled Greaves
Tormented Trance Greaves
Silvered sleeves
Crown of Grandeaur

Or even some of the new epic armour.

I never managed to cap melee speed what can i say, " sue me" :D This template is made using a briton as race the plate leggings and feet allow some room for manouvre with resists if u have a different race from briton.

My arms is 50polearm 42shield 37slash so battler and CES are in template but not equipped when i made the template.

now about kagato comment arti charges > good rog IMO arrogance or battler or som can win u figths mate...

get 400 hits tbh mate, though i guess it depends on what sort of rvr you are into. +hits is better than +con, you are only ever going to increase your hits by 75-100 (something like that) with +26 con, +con items arent usually that good, where you can pick up +hits on quite a few good items.

Who said anything about rog's, I said items with great utility, which can be anything.

Arrogance is over rated, i've won many many fights because the enemy was stupid enough to use arrogance thinking he'd have a quick fight only to end up having the effect turn on him for double damage back.

Now add that to an Armsman who is going to be a long fight at the best of times and your talking suicide.

Battler is nice but not needed in template as you can place it in spare slot.

As for som, I really don't think its worth taking up a whole slot for something thats got a laughable 24 utility when he is already struggling to cap stats and resists.

I'd rather be good 24/7 then great for 1 minute every 15 minutes.

Theres a few good artifacts that possibly are worth trying to fit in, but most of these are not them.

if you are going to be fighting a lot of stealthers or mini groups then som is a must, the ablative proc is god mode vs dual wielders, and very handy when you have multiple attackers. as for malice the debuff proc is one of the best things you can have, forget the /use2 its shit, save your item timer for battler debuff. Gov too is very nice, the extra AF is fantastic, my hero goes up to 8xx (assuming i have AF buff on too) never tried erinies myself, nothing about it really appeals to me when there are better ones. also when making any temp that uses malice 2H discount the hits/con on it, you will be switching to s/s a lot, blocking arrows, slamming etc, so you lose them.

This is a good template


Not like he’s going to run into pbaoe. and even if you get grappled inside a pbaoe you will most likely die no matter what.


And id chose artifacts over some extra resists / stat boosts any day of the week.

Erm have you even looked at the hits to con ratio recently? At cl5 warriors are getting slightly more than 8 hitpoints per con in their templates. I would imagine that armsman would be on a similar hit point table. +25 con will be about 200 hits...

Sweet resists, lovely hit points and nice arti's for 1vs1 fights.

If possible, i wouldnt mind seeing your template Kagato as i bet its pretty dam good! :)

I followed Kagato's advice and my arms template is good atm, just wanna finish the CL's and respec weapon to polearm to be fully effective.

but havent played for a while..must get back into it....


armsman vs. dual wielders.....yes they hit faster and negate some shield, but with high quick and dex (sash of martial spirits good +56 or 75 cant remember to dex/qui) when u run solo unbuffed can hurt them nicely.

Im running with about 1900 hits unbuffed and using a mixture of epic, darkspire and crafted with toa drops...only artie im using is winged helm

Not gonna happen sorry, besides I have a new and better template waiting for 1.81 (damn you GOA !).

I'll happily tell people some of the items I use and the bases behind my templates, but I think of my templates as personal to me and believe people would get far more satisfaction by making their own. Its a great feeling when you finally get it right but it does take a few tries.

Its pretty much impossible to max everything you could possibly want, the art is in knowing what you can afford to miss out on.

However these days I don't think you can allow any resistances to be low with so many legendary weapon users around.

10% melee\style\speed - essential
26 str cap - essential
hp/concap - always nice
speccing in polearm - yes. no s/s or 2handed and get a slow ass celerity MP pole and kick ass with it.
good resists !

What you wear won't make much of a difference in a group unless you BG, but you would be in a melee train with this spec and gear.

Armsman is nice damage but would require a melee-heavy group, which isn't happening I guess.

Agree with all of the above almost, my new Armsman template has been based around capped str/con/hp and ToA bonuses. Pole seems only natural to me for RvR. BG obviously is essential for groupability. However, I think an Armsman could fit into a group without it necessarily being melee-heavy and they are great for mini-groups.
