worked out a sc for hybrid thrust pole armsman

0quick aint that good but for the rest it seems ok

if anyone could help me to make it better rlly appreciated
(traitors dagger is just for shademode and khaos just to slam both not equiped on sc)

Hmmm it's not really that much better than an SI template.

You need MP armour to compete these days tbh

But you have about same stats as SI armour, + higher caps, and the extra effetcs of the artifacts. looks nice =)

note on traiters, you have to have it equiped for 15 minutes to use shade mode, un-equip it and the timer resets

that wont be a prob, i wear traitors on my side mostly i slam and use polestyles then anyway

Personally i'd want maxed pole for weaponskill seeing as you havent got a great deal of over-capped strength there, and maxed parry seeing as you'll be presumably fighting with the pole most of the time.

You should consider either getting MP armour to imbue or looking for MP ToA armour drops on the market explorer with better utility.

and try get some mp plate... remember with pole you only get 1 weapon slot

Get mp plate and get those resists up ;) Depending on your rr you could lose some thrust, and as hybrid dont worry about parry. Oh and try get quickness on there - you'll notice the difference, especially as hybrid. :)



Btw where did you get the cloak (Hardened Cetus Skin) ?

hybrid tempaltes are so ahrd cause evry single resist u have on ur pole u need it on ur 1h/shield and other way arround
+if u go pure pole u have one slot less
go s/s u lose ur pole/2h util so u better roll a pala :|
i tried a pure pole sc temp but didnt work so well

i want to play my arms again but if i look at tank teams they only invite mercs
so basicly if u dont have a gg/fixed grp with arms u can fo
i feel like a thane in mid or a valewalker in hib

armsmen do suck atm

since daoc release 0 "love" has been shown towards the class

and looking at future ra changes they will suck even more

Offensively they aint a patch on mercs ofc, but you gotta cut your cloth if you play an armsman now. Get the bodyguard ml and a shield and you have the best caster group guardbot, while bodyguard + hybrid spec also gives viability in a mixed group. Atleast until NF anyways...

but in an alb group setup the problem is..

who are you gonna remove to make way for the armsman? ^^

No room for us in tank groups now :(

In caster group, where its a pure bodyguard bot they want, then ml8+ battlemaster armsman with 42+ shield, det4+ and SoB is imo (*takes a deep breath*) better than a paladin. Why? Primarily because bodyguard can't be switched when your mezzed,but also because of SoB. Ofc in NF those advantages will disappear :(

Here's another option we've started to run with... 2 x clerics, minstrel, sorc, theurg, ice wizz, merc and bg hybrid arms (merc and arms using end pots). So far has worked well against the kind of groups currently around, though its still early days and when buff shearing comes in I think we may struggle...
