I did this template in 5 mins, so its crap: You probably want a lot more hits, dex and slash skill (is worth it for arms?). Just to show you, that you can do a lot better with a suit where the hardest items are MT and Silias ring

I have an armsman. And he's spec'd S/S for PvE. If I ever go RvR with him (determination boost in patch 1.76!) I will respec him to pole because the S/S isn't worth much in RvR: 1h does half the damage you do with a pole or a 2h and a shield will not block much of all those dual wielding opponents.

When you do a hybrid spec slash or crush pole (or 2h) you can concentrate on str and con and forget about the dex in your template.
Spec would be 50 pole, 42 shield, 39 slash, XX parry. (39 slash + 11 from your Realm Rank having the same effect as being 50 slash)
You can use the shield to slam (preferably not from the front) - don't need dex for that - and whip out the pole or 2h to destroy people.

So with a hybrid spec, your template would be more simple.

To comment on your current template, I would use these priorities:
Be sure you have this FIRST:
- cap con: get it to 75 minimum and then try to go over the cap
- cap str: 75 minimum, try overcap
- cap hits: 200 minimum, try overcap
- resists: cap melee resists, get the rest over 20%
- cap dex: 75 minimum (but I don't like shield in RvR)
After that, look at the TOA bonusses on melee damage etc...

Don't bother with the 4 parry and the 3 shield on your spellcrafted items. Con, Str etc... need to be capped first.

Its hard to get caps when you cant get the hard/expensive artis/items(G.O.V, ML7 shield, Malice, SoM, Mad Tales)

If you cant afford good items to make a good SC i would wait until you can Thad . There is not a lot of point splashing out loads of plats on MP armour and SC if nothing is capped. Do what Gazon says tbh, but qui and capped toa melee haste is vital if you go polearm. I would go thrust pole personally as its 100% str based.

Ah, yes, I forgot to say you need to get alot of QUI too
Get as much QUI in template so you get as close to 250 as possible when you are buffed. Over 250 QUI has no effect.

I'm assuming TOA bonusses are expensive so concentrating on the "regular" stats (str, con, dex, qui, hp, resists) is cheaper.
And yes, thrust pole is the best actually, since it gives you the best results in the armor resist table (only a few classes are resistant) and it is 100% STR.
Your 1h weapon would be thrust too (50% STR / 50% DEX) then and since you would not have DEX in your template the damage would suck even more but that wouldn't matter as you will be using the pole for hitting.

And something else: an "uber" template alone will not cut it in RvR.
You'll need a balanced group with 2 clerics, a sorc, buffs, resists and people who know what they are doing.
10% melee damage bonus means fuck all when you don't have any support.
ML's and RA's are also more of an influence then those % bonuses.

98 str 83 con 81 dex 75 quick 264 hits +11 parry shield slash

all resists capped bar energy

10% melee speed

items copper neckie - hardened cetus skin- gem of moirai - belt of the brute - krojers dex ring -cenalons ring of might - naxos ablone bracer - bracer of silient oblivion - serpantine war axe

then capped all stats with SC 6 pieces of 99% armour and a MP shiled

overallcost was around 20p withc may seem alot but really isnt much atall tho i did have alot of items an did my own SC but if u bought the items an SC wouldnt be much more than 30p witch for a full SC is cheap as most people will spend that just on GoV without any scrolls xD

how many scouts u planning to fight in RvR? but tbh ur temp is alful ur stats will be so low an u will be free rpts for any1 :< dont worry to much about jamming hundreds of artis in like Dream shpere is crap an will cost around 7p to buy with scrolls gem of moirai will give u con an str cap an only cost around 2p get 1 or 2 artis an make ur template aound them then at a higher RR when u haave more cash totaly redo it

on my scout i only had fools bow untill i was rr 5 then i got GSV DS BOS SOM battler traitors and loads of good items rather than the semi ok items i had used

If you have 42 shield and you hit "engage" when a scout is shooting you can block them just fine.

About being fotm: you are an Armsman fgs. There is no possibility to be fotm in any way!

Managed to cap constitution and strength and almost cap dex. Got most of my resists to 26% or higher and ive gotten my quickness up a bit.

Not to be rude m8 or anything but there are prolly 30 non-rog shilds that are better then that crap + it looks quite aweful. Laso it cons blue, dunno how much that affects blockrate, but I would take no chances.
But I guess it works in one way, in rvr - the ubah ns takes a look at you and thinks: "Ohh - cool a newbie with AS, free rp's wohoo". Then he might try a pa on yer ass and if ure lycky he will miss it and u may have the opportunity to slam + get a few free hits on him be4 he evades u.
Imo try to get a ml9 shield instead, should not be to expensive:
