This may have been asked or answered but I cant find it.

There seems to be a distinct lack of armour so far.. everyone seems to be running around in the same outfits.

Will there be more armour sets to set yourself apart from others during later stages of the game?

there will, and there will be trophies to you can put on your gear, to stick out. And you can dye you armor.

Well if you rvr you can buy armour sets in the tier 2 keeps owned by your side and other bits come from building up your faction in an area.

Id say you better get comfortable with the fact that new item graphics wont be in the game for quite some time. It took WOW something like 3-4 months to start replacing the temp graphics on item sets. I mean during the first month most of the dungeons/instances weren't even itemized.

Once the stuff that didn't make it to the launch is done, fluff like armor graphics and the like start to flow in the games. I reason that because the company still has the artists on payroll after the core is completed, so after that they can focus their work on less critical work.

not a lot of new graphics i've seen so far, but i have certainly seen a lot of drops/other availability for gear - PQs and reknown gear for example. my shammy at lvl12 looks pretty cool i think (put in spoilers due to big img):

i'd rather have lots of drops with samey graphics than the other way around if i had to choose. the higher tier armour looks awesome as we've all seen so maybe they're saving the cooler graphics for end-game gear

I'm 15 now and have a full set of armour at last (hat and cloak makes my WH sooo much cooler ) and there isnt massive variation but there is subtle differences.I also have a blue (? rare) sword from a chap 6-7 PQ and that is awesome, its got lightning runnin down it.

Started usin the dyes a bit more and I have a cpl of trophies which are awesome. Ones a kind of ankh on my bandolier made of gold with a skull in the middle, the other is a sigil/seal sorta tihng. I think these are whats gonna make a big difference but armour does change, albeit slowly and subtley, but enough to make you happy with ur new item.

I've seen some nice armour and weapons on the higher level (10+) characters.
