I would just like to say that I think we are heading in the wrong direction.
Have you looked at the boards lately ? 80% off the threads turn into Whines or Flames one way or another.
We are constantly critisising everything and everyone related to the game.
I remember the days when Hibernia was a fun realm with lotsa nice ppl and no whining. Sure things have changed over the last 3 years but we just have to deal with that instead off whining and blaming ppl for playing there classes the way they should. (cfr. shrooms in rvr)

With this thread I basically want to send out a wake-up call to Hibernia.
Please ppl, lets cut the crap and play the game togheter in a fun way again...
Afterall its a game , its a feeling , its a community, its another life ... call it as you please but I want all my lives to be fun

I'm still having fun, i dont think ive ever posted on here to whine, plus over the last few weeks hibernia has been playing well together and enjoyed some fun raids
I personally think things are already moving in the right direction, I dont hear too many people moaning in game, just the people who post here

ToA pve was fun initially due to new encounters etc.

Xping artis aint fun.

ToA rvr is a lot of fun.

Only wake up call hib needs is to the hibs who camped amg for about 5 hours yesterday evening/night.

I think my post gave the wrong impression so i will try to be more clear.
I myself still enjoy the game alot, I just wanted for the ppl who are complaining alot to see what they were doing, if they werent forgetting that the game is about friendship and fun.
Secondly, I know that flaming someone can be a stress reliefer or whatever but when ppl actually feel angry towards someone they post a FOA. What i see happening is that ppl get flamed in every kind off thread (in this thread 2 flames have been made already). Is it realy necessary to do so ?

I basically just wanted for ppl to reflect abit more before spilling the beens...
Also note that I used "we" in my post evenso I never flamed anyone myself. I think that we as a community should be a bit more open minded and relaxed.

however I think casters are overpowered in RvR - feels too easy now

having fun in TOA when I'm not doing crappy MLs or xping artis

whine/flame to get rid of stress mostly - and bad habits are hard to crack

I'm having fun in RvR - on a nice keep raid or occasional milegate standoff where I can spam volley It's fun to get a group too in RvR, which is regrettably rare.

Not having fun trying to get ML1 and 2 done (yeah lol) becuase I just don't have the time. Not having fun trying to get artifacts and scrolls for them. Not having fun exping artis I somehow managed to get (except Fool's bow which levels nicely in RvR).

So the answer is yes and no.

They have the freedom to post theyre "whines" and you have the freedom to choose to read it or not.So what the hell is the problem here? Just dont read them.

it goes really really slow tho.. you need more than a mil rps to ding an average arti to lvl 10 :/

I'm still having fun even though i need to read topics i wouldn't have touched if i wasn't a mod lol. I think it's pretty human for people to let their frustrations out and "forget" the nice stuff. For some strange reason bad experiences tend to live longer in memories then nice ones.

But i see a lot of funny topics about experiences/fights/situations aswell so they make up for the "whine" ones i think. Just don't let these kinda posts get to you, about 90% of them were made in the "heat of an angry moment" and quite often people kiss and make up up later ingame or on irc. Unfortunately they don't post it in here

For a long time I was having a wank time, and this was reflected in my "bad attitude" in game, but since I got myself a semi decent job, a certain sense of purpose has returned, and thus I have a great time, in game, and IRL in general.

Thanks to all those peeps who've put up with me through those "wank times" and thanks for making the game even more enjoyable these days!!

just to make clear: i m not saying to the "whining " ppl to fuck off or anything, i just wanted to point out that maybe they should be more positive..
Its not a pointing fingers thread, I just wanted to "help" a bit, coz i know from experience that life in and outside the game is alot more fun when you dont mope all the time and concentrate on the unbalances etc (in-game)

Tbh I can't say im really having fun in this game at the moment. Computer is fucked up (=cant rvr), still strugling with artifacts and its harder than ever to keep a guild going now.
Im still playing daoc because i really like rvr, its the best fun i've ever had in any game. It just requires loads of work to be able to rvr again.
