Are there too many polls on the RvR forum?

Maybe its that polls give a thread more authority and hold it up better to modding? What do you think?

I've added an IBTL option for those of us with smaller brains so you don't have to post it below.

Polls should not get bumped everytime someone votes in them. That would get rid of much of the annoyance when you click on a thread which shows as having 'new posts' only to find out an option has boosted from 98 to 99...

This'd of course mean that they'd only stay for a useful duration instead of like they currently seem to be whereby the issue is old and over with while they're still remaining on the top of the page.

yea, actually, i think the issue could be easily solved by implementing a "Two Day" voting rule. where all polls time out after two days. or maybe more, whatever.

There are way too many polls active atm.

People need to set polls that close after a period of time, or they will just get bumped to the top after half a year by some wierdo surfing old poll topics and voting.

bit ironic adding another useless poll but the problem stems from:

1. polls bump when they're voted in.
2. polls default to "unlimited".

If polls defaulted to 2 weeks it'd be great.

And no, having a poll doesn't make you immune to moderation and make yer mind up - you were complaining about me locking a poll last week nova

Flim, cant u check with the owners if they can change the default to like, 2 weeks? Was a bit silly the other day when some muppet voted in 10 polls and they all got bumped in a row on first page. Was done to prove a point I guess

Best imo would be if the choice unlimited didnt exist at all since that option really isnt needed. (or if only mods could choose that option)
