It's a relatively simple topic, purely opinion based: do you think that the people who regularly add/zerg are GENERALLY at lower skill levels that people who decide that adding is wrong?

Note the generally: yes there are going to be some people who are dedicated to adding on everything that may still be excellent players, and some people who dont add on people who still suck. but we're talking about average-joe adder/non-adder.

Thread Rules:

1. No names. "This scout i knew once..." is fine.
2. No flaming.
3. Opinions only, dont try and pass off what you're saying as fact.
4. Accepted topics: Are adders/non-adders lower skilled players. The Nature of "skill".
5. Barred topics: Are adders/non-adders bad people. Your personal attitude to adding. Anything else offtopic.

personally, it varies day to day, never clear cut

i will usually leave 1v1s alone regardless of who is winning. tho last 2 days ive been out solo lurking around brynja, to see if anything happening, been zerged down by fgs of hibs . . so any hibs Ive seen Ive added on , including 1v1, healing mids etc, ... dont care who you are, your realm mates want to zerg me, ill add on you. fair ? no.. but there u go :p

been out this morning, Earthwi..er, a certain theurg's :p group steamrollering people in HW, fine that your choice, sure our trio was a real threat to your FG. any albs i catch i will add on etc, tar same realm with same brush.

end of the day, depends what other people do dictates wether or not i will add on people :fluffle:

/end ramble

i dont always add, nor do i always leave people alone. does that make me "lower skill" or just "pissed off and out for cheap revenge" ?

End of the day, imo, its not to do with skill, its cause and effect, and always wether or not people will do anything for a few RPs, regardless of "skill" level. It reflects the respect you have for people, most people who dont add are respecting others right to fight 1v1, fgvfg, etc. rather than *I WANT RPS NOW SO ILL DO WHAT I WANT* attitude

wee lost the plot totally, go me :)

I dont think people that add are less skilled, but often lower realmranks, and thats only natural, when you are low rr it´s a pain to survive on your own and if people wont group with you, you have to add.

I add all the time, but I spend most of my time around bridges (mostly brynja) and if people doesn´t like to be added on then why roam the bridges? And after all its a Realm vs Realm game, less rp to the other realm benefits all in the realm.

You cannot generalize like that.

I have seen high rank group who are considered very skilled add. Why? Perhaps it was a mistake, perhaps they had a reason (revenge forinstance), etc.

But they added. Did that make them less skilled?

Was it annoying with the adding? Certainly so!

i voted yes, both from what ive seen and what i think. a person who resorts to zerging/add will never have to push "everything" out of his char to beat the obstacles. therefor they wont know what to do when certain things happen ingame and dies.

i personally think there is many examples of this ingame, if you ever run solo/FG i can assure you the people that are known to NOT add are _alot_ thougher to beat than the notorious adders.

I think so. I add myself, but then I dont class myself as being particulary skilled at this game.

I tend to agree with Lethul on this topic (as you may have guessed) based on my observational evidence, people add and zerg rarely have to pull out all the stops (the disparity of numbers makes it easier to win) and so they never come across the need to learn all the little tricks and tactics that seperate low skilled players from high.

given the 8v8 lot can't even agree what's skilled and not I don't think a highly biased poll of "omgz how noob are zergers!" is a good idea.
