Are others getting a bit tired with Emain & the Hibs ?

Hi,

Many people have said that once you get to lvl 50, RvR will be much improved.

I don't know if its because I'm a 2h Paladin (I expect that some of you will say that is the case) however, since RvRing at lvl 50, alot of the fun has gone out of it because recently the Mids seem to have disappeared from Emain, or at least their presence isn't as strong......

This means that we are being faced with the Hibs all the time recently, and it goes a bit like this....

Hibs Mez Albs.
Albs Cant Move
Some Albs get Killed
Mez Wears off
Albs get Mezzed again
Albs Cant Move
Rest of Albs Killed

The few time I do brek Mez, I can't hit the Casters due to their PBT

I used to hate the Mids, but to ne honest, I like them now...they are the only people I can have a fair fight with...

Go to Hadrians Wall, the zerg seems to have moved.

Go to Odin's and you can usually find either Hibs or Mids camping the AMG.

These days it seems the best RvR is in Emain cos no one else is there.

Us Hibs have had to put up with this from the Mids and Albs for the past year.

Aye, you dont need alot of skill if your group is well balanced, NP have proven that fact..... and they use it to great effect, cant argue with the results.

ermmm think the reason for hibs owning so much is cause bards mezz is bugged and can be recasted over and over... not sure about this but sounds pretty much right

do you think skills may be a part of the issue?...

you can't compete to groups with a huge amount of buffs (did anyone notice that wardens are buffbots with pbt and speccable weapon? (not that it does alot of dmg but still speccable), overpowered ra's , and basically the fact that a balanced hib team can have tons of cc, nuking power , buffs, healing power and tankage without giving in on some of those?

AKA a friar, just without the pbt but has stronger melee in return.

only one major seperating factor in my opinion that make well balanced hib groups so awesome... tanks with pbt
eally think this makes all the difference. Plus i'm speaking totally through ignorence here is it not true that warden pbt is in a useful spec line? unlike gimp earth theurgs who go down in 2 hits anyway.

You forgot about instamez and casters that can debuff their own damage type and get pbaoe and interrupting pets aswell.

about the bugged mezz:
We where happy walking arround emain (tralalalala etc.) when we face a group of Hibs (nothing wrong with that, afterall its their frontier)
We get mezzed, nothing wrong with that either.
Mezz says its 40 secs, ok with me( made me some tea meanwhile)
Soon after 40 secs, another mezz.
Now correct me if i'm wrong but don't we supposed to have a 60 sec immunity timer to get mezzed again?
So either way, if the timer starts from the beginning of the spell or the end it still ain't possible.

And ofcourse i don't have a screen, how can i predict that i get chainmezzed while it ain't possible?

Either way, i'll make a bard this week, get him to 20 and check it in the bg's to see if its true.

Oh and about the uber dmg of Hibs, they do have +20% magic dmg.

Gimp Earth/Ice theurg that goes down in 2 hits = me

and "balanced groups" for Hibs: that's mainly tank-supported pb'ers with a couple of decent healers for good measure, or not?! - and definitely no shortage of pb'er, or so it seems to me ...

I know healers can stack mezz(AE and one single, or one insta and a normal ,something like that) it has happaned and no second/first wasn't stun. Don't think bards can.

earth theurgists may be gimps, but going down in 2 hits is just plain whining. keep in mind, i am an overpowered class, and i happen to spend a minute or two chasing after dem avalonians before they go down in the end.

Had this discussion elsewhere: unless I got a group protecting/guarding me well, I AM dead in about 2 hits, as soon as an enemy gets into melee range - oh, I guess I have to admit that I am still working on my SC set, so my resists are not yet all capped (then it might be 3-4 hits, we'll see ). - in any case, a minute or two seems a bit excessive to me, but then accepting I am not only a gimp theurg, but probably crap in rvr, too ...
