Are Necros THAT hard?

k prolly my first whine thread or sommat but this is wrong imo:

RvR in Odins me a 46 shade can inflict major pain on caster and do some dmg to Tanks. Anyhow floating around looking for a target and I see a nice yellow con necro pet. I think k shouldnt be too hard. I walk up to it land on it a PA, CD and SS plus a few anytime chains and do almost no dmg to it at all. I was like wtf!?!

I checked while waiting for port back and found my PA hit for 5 (+4 style bonus) and everything else hit for 1.

Is this normal on Necros if it is wtf is going on noway should they be about twice as hard as a primary tank - dont gimme crap about being only 46 etc and not being able to much dmg since I often duel lvl 50 tanks and do many times more dmg on them than I did on this pet.

Oh and I was fully buffed at the time with no debuffs or nething

Necros tend to pwn anyone that tries to melee them.

i find necros pretty easy tbh cant remember loosing to one last 1 i beat was me vs 1 necro+1 mincer both lvl 50 and whopped em.

But you said the pet conned yellow so im thinking this necro was lvl 50 too hard for you lil fella

cant touch the necro but try to ill its pet and the necro can heal andd dd you and the pet is pretty damn hard as well

I was fully Buffed using Epic weapon and a crafted.

even so if it was a 50, 5 dmg from supposedly the single most dmging melee attack in the game (even if I am only 46) is sick

a necro with 9% spec absorb buff and fully con buffed has close to 90% absorb.

you know u can't count when your buffed vs unbuffed,...right? ;>


a fully buffed necro is hard.

Necro pets at lvl 50 are 88% of the casters level, therefore lvl 44.

Strange if a lvl 46 shade cant waste a lvl 44 pet.

Also, can Intimacy With Death (the lvl 9 absorbtion buff) really be that effective?

Buffs..

Necro pets with good buffs, are great at absorbing melee damage..

But against mez,stun and DD's

They suck..

well lvl 50 necro's pe has around 60% absorb, it scales with level. con buffs (hp's) add absorb to pets as they are treated like mobs.

add to this 9% buff absorb, isnta lifetap, immunity to mes under 90% hp's. and this gives one tuff pet in melee, just a shame that he dies like a dead brick in nukeing fights.

well I nuked alot of necro pets and normaly it's very easy and they die fast....but one time I hitted for lot less with (-xxx) pretty high...so necros get nay resist buff for theire pets? or if they are in a group that cast resist buffs, do pets get them buffs too? it seemed so atleast.

Hehe... you're dead right... I was levelling my necro yesterday in Llyn Barfog and casting from a top of a hill... after 3 pt's I realise i'm not hitting the mob at all... no message saying target can't be seen... must vae been standing in long grass or something

If you ask the pet to attack something and leave it there, and try to go past a telekeep in shade form....what happens?

nope

they did befor the patch but now they only resists they have are the 26 or whatever the item capis, even AoM dosnt work, nor does purge, MoC etc etc
