Aopen HX-08 case?

Right as I'm heading back into computers I'm wanting to rebuild my rig back into the dream machine it once was!

I've got some cheap and shite £30 midi tower case that you could squash easily and is as about as quiet as a bloody jumbo above!

Anyway I'm looking to get a Full Tower case, I'd love a supermicro but I'm not about to beg, borrow, steal etc. to get one!

The question is what are the Aopen HX-08 rigs like? I'm currently overclocking a 300A @ 450 (which will be getting a new heatsink for ASAP!)

Speaking of heatsinks etc. How often do you guys reapply the thermal compound stuff?

That case is fine... not quite as good a cooling solution as the supermicro, but it is half the price afterall...

I personally use a globalwin 802 case - well ventilated, room for 80mm intake and 80mm exhaust fans, well built, removable mobo tray.

It cost me about 40 quid cuz i get stuff cheap from work

We sell em for 74 with a 300w PSU.

BTW, it can take like 6 3.5" HD's and a floppy drive

Only got 3 5.25" bays tho, but no big deal. It's also quite deep... but its only a midi atx case, albeit a mint one! If u wanna know where to get one mail me at storm@clara.co.uk and ill give u a UK URL

Thermal compound... dont neccessarily need to re-apply, but I do it every 6 months anyway as it can dry up and crack over time.

Had a look at an Aopen case today. Perfect!! I'm picking it up tomorrow as I didn't take the car into work today.
