Give me time to get to 25 and sure i will meet you in BG2. Only one way to sort these things out and dueling looks to be the only way. As to the buffbot - nope - stays in BG1 to boost my runie. Are potions the same as buffbots? Boost your specs beyond your base alt creation and sc limits? Same damn thing if you ask me. Maybe to level the playing field we also dispense with them as well. Otherwise i will be forced to get some and that will slow down the time of encounter for sure.

As soon as i am ready - that is rested after this last stint in BG1 - and level 25 i will post here again.

Alchemy is no different than Spellcrafting. Both are tradeskills, part of the design of the game. Buddbots are difdferent. I'd have to break the CoC to use a buffbot. I can't legally use one (admittedly that doesn't stop anyone seemingly). Many people just can't afford to have a buffbot. Thast the difference here. The only reason I even used potions was because of your buffs, to try and level the playing field a bit (+20 to 3 stats does not compared to +61 your buffs gave). I don't know anyone who will say spellcrafting is unfair, as it's just common sense to use it, so why the difference with alchemy?

Anyway, the whole idea of a duel is to have a fight on even playing fields and let skill be the deciding factor. Either both use potions or both don't... Might as well not use them, as neither will get much advantage over the other if you both use them...

nope it doesent break the CoC to have a buffbot which is the reason there are so many of em about. Mythic looked at ways to change the CoC but couldnt find a way to distinguish (spelling?) between a player giving buffs and being afk and a player having a second acct.

Unless you have 2 copies of SI, you can't run a buffbot account without breaking the CoC. There are many people with this problem, as can be seen by all the rpograms around to let you get around this (including me). I can't buffbot (not that I'd want to in the bg anyways) without breaking the CoC.

Why have 2 accounts? - How do you swap stuff from one alt to another in this game? Tis the reason i got my second account in the first place cos i was so pissed off trying to get help all the damn time. Buffbot was not the reason i got it - that came later.

The game is seriously flawed in some aspects that make loads of players get a 2nd account to help with moving items between alts. Am pretty sure nearly everyone that gets a 2nd account does so out of frustration and to help with crafting and so on. Buffing is just something that comes later.

I guess I'm lucky that not only do I have many really good friends (real life ones ) who play this game, but I can trust pretty much everyone in my guild with doing transfers. As annoying as it is, I can get aound it easy enough. The thing which made me get 2 accounts was the people who just would not group my inf at all. I've xped about 40 of his 41.5 levels myself so far. Broke the CoC admittedly doing it, but this was a case of do it or quit the game as I'd have no chance to level. Still, as I said in the other post, I will not take my cleric into emain or thid to buff my characters in rvr, whilst there are still others who aren't buffed, because any fight I win due to the buff advantage will make me feel pretty rotten...
