Havest thou a rep, good sir!

I work in network + tech support and some of the bullshit we see AOL come out with is just unbelievable. Like telling people to call their computer vendor if none of the lights on their (AOL-supplied) modem are working...they are widely regarded as the biggest bunch of incompetent, fobbing muppets out there.

Agree, I've been telling people what I think of AOL for years - I've done a fair bit of computer repair for friends and people in my area in the past, before the net became widespread I was saying to anyone who would listen "when you get the net, do not get AOL!!!", but hardly any of them listen.

The first thing I know they'll phone me up asking me to help them either setup an AOL service they've signed up for or sort out a problem they're having with an existing AOL account, every time I always feel like saying "why didnt you talk to me (or anyone else who has a clue) about which ISP to go for?!?!" :mad:
