Don't AOL bash for the sake of it :p Note that AOL's takeover of netscape has actually helped speed up the mozilla project, so don't assume AOL are evil anti-opensourced buggers like MS are(AOL is one of the main anti-MS net conmponies).

I'm not bashing AOL for the sake of it, I used to like Netscape, now its crap, I used to like winamp, now it tries to install AOL icons, with something like this it would be long before AOL turned it into a "just insert the DVD in your Drive and AOL will setup your entire computer"..... we thought m$ were going 'newbified' for XP but this could just be bad.

Only cos M$ are better at the whole monopoly thing than AOL are and control a lot of what AOL want to have dibs on.

and as if anything more needs to be said:
Besides financial damages, AOL has said it wants to "restore competition lost in the operating system and web browser market because of Microsoft's illegal conduct".
Source: BBC News

So, it seems that they are going to try and make something out of Linux. If the Linux community has a ny sense, they will tag along then jump ship with the source code before its too late.

AOL Own Netscape, and they're currently sueing MS for anti-competition issues with IE. I beleave they include IE with their software for fairness.

I'm not an AOL fanboy, and i'm not an MS fanboy, i'm simply pointing out the facts. Anyway, it's been confirmed that this will never happen.
