Anyone with a GF4 ti4600

Reet, bought a Creative Geforce 4 Ti4600 last week. Its working fine however im sure it aint working as fast as it should be. On 3dmark 2001 i get 8896 points. but on the online results browser ppl are getting 11000+.

However 3dmarks shite so i was trying to compare it with q3 timedemo. I get 133 FPS on 1024x768 High detail on the Four.dm_66 demo.

Anyway i was just looking for what other ppl got so i can compare. 133 is the highest i got on that, i was expecting alot more. on the actual game its between 200-300 fps. but timedemo gets 133. anyway if ppl could post what they get id be grateful.

Mas your post is pointless...you don't mention any computer specs except from the fact you have a GF4 Ti46000.

yep, you can't ask for help without posting specs...

if your system is for instance a 1ghz tbird then 8800 is pretty acceptable, if however you have an all-singing all-dancing northwood 2.2ghz or an xp2000+ then something is definately amiss...

I hate to say it but read the stick and post your spec, if you want people to take time and try to fix your problems then spend a little time yourself giving us all the info and we'll do all we can to help

Looks a bit low to me... could be worth looking through your drivers to see how you've got everything set up compared to various tweak guides on all these nvidia related sites.

I am lucky to get 3500 on my shite system! lol.

jk2 is getting fustrating now, it feels slower than my GF2 GTS,
I get 30-40fps at times, Even in the 20's at some points. I get about 100+ at points but when theres like 2 ppl on the screen it shoots down to 30-50 :|.
No matter what res i put or detail level i set, i seem to get the same. Not sure if its the game tho as alot of ppl have the same prob. If u start your own server and put a map on u get good fps, then u add a few bots and the fps goes shooting down to 30-60, same with online servers. BIt crap for a geforce 4 tbh

I need some stuff to compare with, getting a feeling this card is dodgy or summit. i was gona try the q3 timedemo compared with what they get on Firingsquad , or guru3d , however the demo0001 doesnt work on my ver and i dont have my q3 CD with me .

i've tried every 27.70, 28.32 and 27.50 det drivers, all seem to be about the same.

i have fast writes off, vsynch off, 4x agp, side band addressing enabled atm if that helps at all . The core is at 300Mhz, and mem at 660Mhz, its supposed to be 650Mhz but for some reason my cards default is 660Mhz :? no idea if thats normal or not tho .

anyway does anyone have any ideas what i can compare with?

Well think of me, I dont even get above 1000 on 2001, infact I dont think I even get above 800....

But then again my PC is very nearly 3 years old

Mas - turn fast writes on. Also - yes - check you've got the AGP patch (if you're running 2k or XP) for AMD's and that you've got the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers.

FW doesn't do shit and in fact in most cases slows gfx down

yeh Embattle i have the latest drivers as far as i know, ill check to make sure, but im sure i do.

and Fast Writes usualy slows things down . did on my geforce 2 anyway, i only use fast writes when im capping music videos.

reet just got a copy of Q3 off me m8 and did the demo0001 test like they do on Firingsquad etc. I got 153 fps which is 32 fps less than they get on Firingsquad and guru3d, with a less spec comp. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr indeed

1024x768 = 154 fps
1280x1024 = 133 fps
1600x1200 = 122 fps
