Does anyone have an LCD monitor that they use for gaming, and I mean playing games where FPS is vital, like Quake, Unreal, Halflife, etc.

What is the result like ? I understood LCD screens tended to blur at high FPS, but technology has moved on.

It's still an issue. Liquid crystal has an inherent latency.

If you wanna get really flash, buy a touch-screen LCD monitor, then you can just prod the enemies on the screen and kill them

/me goes back to bed

The lowest latency one I've seen is 20ms but this was a super expensive one :)

I've been using a Belinea 17" LCD monitor for a couple of months now, and it plays Urban Terror a dream - no issues on latency. The screen quality is absolutely superb - could never go back to a CRT now :)

Not that any one without a 21" should use that res any way.

I've been using 1600x1200 on my 19" for ages now. Anything lower is just too big.

Hello ignorance :/

I use 1280xwhatever on mine, as the jump from 800x600 to 1600x1200 was too much for my eyes :/
