Anyone unlocked FSCS/Jedi yet?

I haven't played for over a week out of general boredom and other interests.. last time I logged in I was trying to get a holocron from the Force Crystal Caves (without much success I might add)...

So, anyone have the latest on it? I presume its not just a case of mastering the profession the holocron tells you...

Do you need to get additional holocrons afterwards? Or is there something else?

dunno mate, i know one bloke on eclipse that is onto his 3rd holocron profession... probably someone who's done more.

I'm not to sure if getting the masters your holocrons tell you will do it alone?

I heard some speculation about the master title(s) your holo would give had to do with your starting proffesion i.e. artisan master tailor, marksman master BH etc?
Can anyone confirm or debunk this?

LOL this is exactly what is wrong with this whole "I want to be a Jedi" thing.

The developers and programmers and designers etc. have designed a game where you are unlimited in terms of character development. You can be as good or bad as any other player at any given skill, it's all down to personal choice.

Then what do they do? they start to worry that no one has opened their Jedi slot and the game is filling up with grinders who are only playing so they can be a Jedi (so they can no doubt sell the account on ebay). The panic leads to :-

Dev 1 "we have a problem, everyone wants to be a jedi now or they will cancel their accounts. they are still only on their free months so we need to keep them for another month of grinding"
Dev 2 "I know lets drop these things in that tell people to master image designer and that if they do they will be a lot closer to becoming a Jedi"
Dev 3 "But what about the whole principle of freeform character development?"
Dev 1 "What? jesus get with the program you don't really think that people play these games to have fun and interract with fellow games players do you? they play these games to be ub0r r0xx0r l337 players"
Dev 2 "I think my idea is great it totally allows us to force people away from the decent professions while we nerf them before they come back after grinding to master droid engineer in 2 days"
Dev 3 " surely the players can see that the Star wars universe population is not 80% Jedi 20% normal? surely they can appreciate and enjoy playing say as a well known armoursmith on Tatooine who actually ends up a wealthy and powerfull person?"
Dev 1 "ha ha ha ha ha"
Dev 2 "ha ha ha ha ha"
Dev 3 "I quit, i'm off to work for codemasters on Dragon Empires"

All that this Jedi hysteria is doing is spoiling the game, they should have just given everyone their slot to start with and not bothered with all the other professions that the majority dont seem to be interested in.

Shame.

Its been debunked on the jedi forums quite a bit along with most ideas.

I started off as artisan and then got all 5 other starting professions a few hours after starting the game.

At time of using my first holocron i was

Master Smuggler.
Master Pistolier.
Novice Medic.
Scout 3030. ( was thinking about going for CH )
Marksman 0404.
Brawler 4000.

And it told me........ Master Entertainer.

Next one told me...... Master Chef, and i have a few boxs left to complete that, and then look for another holocron heh

Apparently some people have mastered 3 professions and Holo number 4 says something like "There is no voice, everything is silent"

Wouldnt it be funny if the holocron were all a red herring time sink

Personally I reckon theres prob about 12 steps to be a jedi and a new one will be released each coupla months - 3 holocron is enough for this stage - the next wont be released for another month or two...

Well it was planned to be hard to get and rare.
If all it would take was to master the professions that holos reveal there would be massive outbreak of FSCS's around xmas.

I haven't even got one holocron yet.. been camping the Force Crystal Caves but the mobs are a little too tough for me, even with pets

It's pretty heavily camped now though.

Anywhere else I can hunt for confirmed Holocron drops?

try any force sensitive NPC with 80% and above resists...

not found any on dathomir, yet the masses of players are making my 2nd home unplayable... so it makes me think they drop there as well.

but every creature / npc i find warps past my tank an slaps me stupid :/

I get annihilated by the Force Crystal Hunters in the cave.. they basically one hit me every time. One of them did some sort of special on me that hit for 6k+ damage.

It's pretty slow trying to solo them, since they chew up my pets too
