Anything, maybe it should be half-life related though
I've gone and bought the retail version of counterstrike. Well i got half-life and CS just comes with it. I haven't actually got it yet ordered it from jungle.com.... long story

Someone here, (no names mentioned) said i was much better off getting the retail version. Other people have told me it is shite!! Is there really that much difference?? Apart from the weapon names what other differences can there be?

The retail version is fine. I take it you bought Half-life generations?
I've got the retail version, and as long as you now how to patch it, it's not a problem. And the weapon names can be fixed
The other difference is the training level, which isn't worth paying for, but teachs you how to rescue the hostages and plant/defuse the C4. I just run the retail version now myself.

I assume you mean the clever person trying to save you using up alot of diskpace.

As Itchy says, the inconsistencies in the retail version can be fixed from the patch.

I have played on both, originally the halflife and then the retail and there is NO difference I can see. (im crap on both of them)
