I thought it might be a mini version of those square things they put on ships, that fire like a million rounds a minute. Shotgun makes more sense though.

I think maybe the one I saw was experimental, or rare. It didn't have a barrel like those two, though it is similar looking. It was radar guided I think, but it was more like a box shaped thing with a square that had loads of holes in it, maybe a thousand? At it's top rate it fired 1 million round per minute, totally obliterating an incoming missile threat, and sounding like a continuous, high-pitched buzz at full speed. Not the same as those in Battlefield 2.

Thats an electric machine gun as opposed to firing rounds mechanically it uses electric current to fire the rounds for a very rapid fire.

The two i linked too are gatling cannons (i.e. high speed conventional machine guns) for naval uses.
