I Hope it has the appeal for me that UO and DAoC had when I first started them, SWG was an ok game but got old quite quickly, I need something to do over the long dark winter months ahead

I will be playing it i already have the character creation cd, its rather good.

As there is no PvP, I recieved my starter disk today (could have had it last week but had it delivered to work)

Not going to miss the RvR side of DAOC one bit, RvR is very much the main aspect of DAOC now, you need to level through 1-50 get some master levels and fully ToA/SC'd equipment to even stand a chance now.

Ok so SoE have had a rather tarnished name of late with the SWG duped credits thing, but on the flip side EQ was a well established game, they will be drawing on the sucess of this for EQ2

Game sites seam to hit at the end of November for release, and Im actualy looking forward to it, with some existing DAOC people, and some of the guys from work.

My thoughts exactly.
EQ was fun till Velious... SoL had some very bad "fixes" and PoP ruined it completely.
PvP was really fun in EQ, pretty slow tho (as you needed to get your corpse after every death). I played on Vallon Zek.. in a finnish guild too.

I'm giving EQII a try but doubt it will work 'cause of SOE (just visit the SWG forums to get my point). EQII's idea is good however and we can always hope for the impossible.

yeah i think it will be big, from the stuff ive read & the feedback

least the Devs seem to know what they want in the game and how they are gonna implement stuff, from reading the Devchat logs

When signing up for Mournings forums so I could apply for the beta I saw a little thing saying 'No L337 board names please, they will be deleted without warning (and the beta applications associated with them also)!' sure that will make some people here damn happy
