hi all, just wondering if anyone can give me any advice? i bought a copy of toa today from GAMe in northhampton, and when i got back noticed the CD key had been peeled off, i have PMed kemor on here, as it wont let me onto the customer support and will phone GAME in the morning, as they are shut now. i live 25 miles from northhampton, and it was the last copy within 60+ miles of my town. unfortunatly goa dont leave a customer phone helpline or anything so i am screwed until at least wednesday now. unless goa give me a CD key (unlikely) anyone tell me anything else i should do?
thanks in advance

Shout at Game in my opinion.
Some pikey behind the counter has nicked the cd-key.

When I got mine they had a pile of CDs and manuals behind the counter which they just whacked in the box for me.

My bet is that they sold you a returned copy that had already been activated. GAME are supposed to have a no returns policy on subs-based games but I doubt if they always enforce it. Some selfish dickwit probably activated the account, peeled off the CD key and returned the game to get their cash back with little regard for the poor sod who ended up with the returned copy (and a long trip back to the store to return it).

One could put the blame on GAME for not enforcing their policy, which is designed to protect honest players, but I blame the sociopathic no-life who exploited it.

Some had problems like this before - unfortunatly I believe you will get a standard reply from GOA stating you iwll need to take the CD back to GAME and complain with them.

On my copy the CD-Key was printed on the back cover of the manual.

When I bought my SI's I learnt the hard way to open the cellofane and see to it so that the CDkeys actually are in place when I buy the product. Had one ex. of SI unopened with no key at all.

whenever i buy a game i open it in the shop (infront of the counter) and check that it has a non scratched cd and manual and cdkey if its required, the reason for this is that i once bought a game which had a scratched cd which wouldnt play.

game has a "no fuss 10 day return" policy, surely u just take it back and get ur friend/mum/dog to go and buy u another one? (and check that hte cd key is there)
