Anyone have Prject IGI?

I have read a lot of reveiws and this game looks fhaking great. I have only heard about single player though and i am not sure whether it has a multiplayer option (don't care much about LAN just internet). Although i like single player games i don't want to fork out £30 for a single player only game that get thrown in to the bottom of the pile when i have got so fustrated with it or i finish it.

Also is it any good. Better be i am downloading demo. Don't want to waste all this time i could be playing CS for a game that is shit.

played the demo and i think its kinda sweet

sniping is fucking brill - like from half a mile away ;o)

ya will need kinda a good comp to get the "full potential" though

Either dl the demo, or wait for coverdisks (depending on connection) and see what ya think

BTW, little tip - stealth is the key!

The only way i completed the demo was by being a sneaky, sniper git ;o)

Delta Force Land Warrior and Axis are 2 others worth a mention.

Yeah i am definatly getting DF land warrior. I own the first 2 and they are brill. I went out and bought project IGI today after playing the demo (several hundred times over) and it blew me away. It is truly amazing although being VERY VERY VERY difficult, I guess it will keep my glued to it while there is no multiplayer. I read that a multiplayer patch/expansion will only be released if there is a demand for it so what are you waiting for. Go out and buy it, for my sake

I've got IGI and an Imported copy of Delta Force: Land Warrior and single playerwise, IGI slaughters DFLW.

Far more interesting maps, much more challenging missions, far better enemy AI and a sense of realism thats sadly lacking from DFLW.

There are a few rough edges to IGI though, short barreled SMG allows "zooming in" but assault rifles dont ?? But otherwise its great fun... bloody difficult though

OTOH DFLW already has multiplayer and as with all the DF games it can be alot of fun, but theres no real advance over the previous versions. Plus DFLW wont be out till next year on this side of the atlantic
Hopefully by then IGI multiplayer patch will be out... well I can dream

IGI would be kickass over the internet. innerloop made a huge mistake not releasing it with MP. I liked DF1/2 i am gunna get Landwarrior but the thing i like about this over Deltaforce is the transition from outdoor to indoor. Doesn't even flicker.

Just got IGI - damn fine game. Great balance of stealth and action. Some of the AI is a bit dodgy, eg you can snipe a guard and any next to him dont seem to react. But then if AI was too good I guess it would be too bloody difficult.

Think I need a geforce though.

Yeah, if you alert the base on some of the later missions it is so fecking hard to get rid of 3 of them when they are running at you with shotguns and minimis, add that to hind helicopters that have a deadly accurate machinegun and 4 missiles. If you shot someone and the whole base came at you it would be very VERY diffiult.

I am on mission 12, damn it's hard.

actually it uses a modified flight-sim engine so can imagine the detail of the landscape!

unlike delta force this'll run on lower specs...it ran quite well on my old p350 so a geforce well handle it well enough!

I played the demo, got a AMD K6-2 350 512MB of ram and a V3, was a bit chuggy at 640*480 and very dark in places, someone gimme a geforce please

I agree that it plays very well and the sniping on it is sweet.

I read on another forum that Innerloop would look into multiplayer in january after a well deserved break.

I am on mission 12 and the difficulty is beyond a joke. The level is huge, you are in a castle on top of a mountain and if you die at the end of the level (like i did) you get a little annoyed.
