... the question is in the subject... I am after a good guide to scouts... speccing suggestions, techniques, base stats, equipment, races etc etc etc... anyone got a good link?

Hehe.. I am not afraid of a bit of hard work, and one of the hardships scouts face is paying for equipment etc - IF I roll one he will be nicely twinked with arrows and bows crafted by me, and armour crafted by my good lady

... well the basic idea is to create a ranged caster protector (wonder why) for use at keep raids/defence. I kinda figure I'll put everything I can into improving bow damage levels and draw time, and then add some training in shield... I'd be totally hopeless trying to 'use' getto-stealth, so it will become merely notional, as will my melee damage, I suspect.....

God help me trying to level that gimp, and god help me if anyone comes near me. I reckon even Brannor's warrior would knock it over with a good critical

Nah... this is gonna be my first female character... she'll be really cute... figured it might help me get her grouped

Saracen

90 base dex
30 from RA's
75 from items
44/45 from levelling

50 thrust 50 shield

Dodger 5

61 shield with items and MoB5 = 50% blocking
Evade 3 + Dodger 5 = 30% evade

Cap the dex and qui

Autotrain bow and get it to 31

Mad but could be effective hehe
