Pussey. I've had mains juice go through me on more than one occasion - unless you bite down on something its not gonna kill you, it just reall *really* hurts and makes you sore and feel sick for a while.

For those of you who aren't slightly retarded; do not take any stock in this comment as it is complete and utter bollocks.

I've been hit three times with 240V mains and once with 415V off the busbar....I've also experienced a fly-zapper via a practical joke by my workmates.

It only takes milli-amps to stop your heart, but, if you're lucky enough to be properly insulated, people can survive being hit by lightening. (I was wearing steelie rubber wellies when I got the 415V btw)

Had 240v on a few occassions - the most daft being when i was about 12, buggering about with a lamp I was taking apart. I started poking the prongs around, seeing how they were wired up, being my usual inquisitive self.
(My father does regret letting me near a screwdriver so early on)

Of course, titlump here forgets to take the plug out of the wall
