Anyone good with server lag?

I play on US classic server Lamorak and since the release of LoTM Ive experienced some odd lag thats constant but usually worse during primetime. I posted this on the cluster forum;

I am really looking at every possible solution for my lag problem and I had high hopes that the small lag that gets worse during primetime would have gotten solved with the server upgrade but it hasnt.

Does anyone still have the middle light flashing once or twice per minute between yellow and green and sometimes even to red? Cause I really need to exclude reasons as to why this is happening to me and not my brother who both play from Sweden even if we have diffrent ISP's.

I have yelled at my isp, I got 100mb up and down, but it seems they cant see anything wrong and when pinging all kinds of stuff I more often than not get great results.

I've seen this kind of lag in DAoC before, with the ToA release in EU, it took like half a year for them to fix that.

So please, if you experience any lag like the one I got tell me so I can yell at the correct company - and if not I'd love ideas on how to find a solution.

If anyone have ideas or recognize the problem then please tell me - I got a machine good enough to handle this game for sure and I feel I didnt have this problem prior to LoTM. I have had some issues with my ISP but the last couple of days its been flawless with the exception of playing on this server.

First I would run pingplotter for at least 10 mins when you are experiencing lag and post a piccy of the results here and we can probably tell you more. Pinging may not pickup the peaks that you are experincing, you need to monitor your lag over time.

Maybe do a search around here for 'hardware checksum', I cant remember the details as ive neved had the problem myself, but theres some mystery checksum setting that helps some people not lag/ld.

Other than that I would advise you to check you have up to date drivers for your motherboard, network card and graphics card. Make sure to use a firewall (although disabling for a few mins to check its not the problem is a good idea), scan for viruses and spyware.

Hope that helps, I suspect your ISP is just a bit rubbish at peak time, pingplotter should point a big pointy finger at it...

If it's the same lag as GOA had on TOA release, then it's server side, their server being unable to cope with the demands on it. I particularly noticed the long lag in chat messages, which I can only guess had a lower priority than other actions, you'd get 10 sec chat lag, and 1-2 sec fighting lag.

But I'd rule out the other possibilities first.

and when route to server is nearly 50% longer ping what normal, dont make situation at all better.
nearly double ping when between french and swerige, some wierd reason understand that

Seems I cant ping the server IP, at least not the IP I find that game.dll is connected, I just get no replys at all even tho I can play on it.
