I shall be, managed to get Master CH just before we had a player wipe in beta, loved it, just wondering around planets looking for new and interesting creatures - even if they did disappear from your inventory all the time.

It's a shame you can't tame Krayts, Kimos and other uber high level monsters anymore. I can see the logic in not being able to, but CH isn't really like a combat-related profession where you can just get powerlevelled, exploit, or whatever to get you to Master Marksman/Pistoleer/Rifleman or whatever quicker. To get to Master CH, I presume, involves a shitload of long painful trial-and-error training, teaching, etc.

In that respect, anyone who aims to be a CH is likely to be - in my opinion - a roleplayer anyway.

Just out of interest - and maybe you can answer this - if you were in a duel with someone, or even overt and someone attacked you - could you set your creatures on them?..

If the creatures are already out you can use them in duels and so on, so you can't be fighting someone and then pull 3 Rancors out and stamp all over them - even though it would be kind of funny :)

Any would be good I think, I would try to stay out of melee but then again there are CH that uses swords. I would go for a pistol since it does dmg on the health pool while rifle and melee(some if not all) dont

That's a bit lame really. It depends on the thinking behind the "storage" of creatures, whether it's just a gameplay device or to do with the dreaded 'continuity'. Thing is, if you attack a Commando he can quite easily whip out a flamethrower and torch you (or not, I hear flamethrower sucks), so why cant a CH start spamming the pokéballs? Doesn't really make sense.

I'll have to have robo-rancor out with me most of the time then.

As kermy says pistol, you get bodyshot which dmg's the health pool, all weapons you will get a special that does dmg to the health pool eventually, but you get it early in pistol so may as well use that.

any chance you can explain how Mask scent works? sometimes ive had it on and got 256 exp for nothing? :)

Mask Scent gives you a chance to avoid being noticed by a critter.

You only get exp for aggressive creatures though,of lvl blue and up.

Basically you walk in range (think its 50 m) and it does a check,if it sticks you get exp based on the con of the creature.

Shame it doesnt work very good until explo 4 though :)

but once ive walked within the range long range is 64 meters do i then have to walk back until the critter is off my radar?

No ,when you get into the markscent range you will get exp,if it succeeded anyway.

In beta there was an exploit with mask scent, just find a group of high lvl aggro critters, and walk in and out of range, bashing the maskscent button, tons of exp :)

Theres some sort of timer on it now though, but it can still be a nice source of scouting exp when you do missions on lairs with aggro mobs.
