Anyone else started ToA a bit late in the day?

Well I reactivated my account along with buying ToA a week ago or so, after an 8 month break. It looks a lot of fun and also alot of effort but its lookin now as though I won't get any Master Levels done.. Spent the last week getting back in the game, researching ToA and getting tailor up. In all that time I flagged looking for ML1 groups just out of curiosity to see if I would get any bites, none of course.

I guess I could get over not getting my Master Levels but it would be nice to do especially as I've payed for it The artifacts I really am wanting to get however but theres not many I can do (+ scrolls) as a solo infiltrator.

Sure I could try guilds in the hope that enough people have not done ML's or like arti hunting but I have no idea how to go abouts this. It also seems the guilds I remember and any organised ones have done most of their ML's and artis so I'm not holding out much for that.

Just wondering how many people are in this boat? Maybe something good can come of this post..

I got TOA when it 1st came out , looked around then havent been back to it since.
Main reason is i dont really play my armsman enough to justify all the time + effort needed to get all the MLs/artifacts done and my necro is basically just a cash farmer so not much point doing them with that.
But my cabalist is coming up to the last stages of exping and this is the one character i actually wanna do MLs on but its gonna be tough cos nearly everyone else has already done them.
Just hope people start doing them on alts and maybe you might be lucky and catch a few of them

People are still doing MLs for their alts and latecomers. For instance, SS did an ML1 raid as late as tonight for this purpose.

there's not a lot you can do solo in ToA - unless you can catch freddyshouse raids or hang around havens it'll be hard to get the ML steps done...

Artifacts are at least as nasty - try finding a guild is my advice

I would say, go for it, because there are and always will be ML raids just as we have sidi and dragon raids. Personal greed of some gamers will make this happen. Since some WANT a certain drop from a certain Mob , they will have to hunt it. Even organize the raid

On artifacts, well you will be a fortunate person that will be using all "nerfed" (corrected) versions off all, so you won't have to create/alter your templates every time.

You will get artifacts. No doubt.

Theres still many that haven't progressed far within the ML's, myself I didn't have the time to spend doing the ML's at the time, so missed out on the 1st waves of people doing the long run, having to catch up with raids being annocunced on here

I should qualify that - all the artifacts that everyone seems to want are at least as nasty - there are some that are soloable and not completely camped 24/7 that you might be able to get for yourself if you're not dead set on being this months uber (which is generally next months nerfed bit of crap )

Most people don't use the LFG system for building ML groups - they are either guild/alliance raids, or announced here on FH. There are still MANY people doing all the MLs (I'm pushing another alt through them for the fun of it ), and it's not hard to get on raids and get going.
My advice would be to either find a guild, or check here (FH) every couple of days.

For example, in the last week, there's been ML1, 2, 3 and 6 raids posted here on FH which you could have attended - and I'm sure there'll be all of these again in the next couple of weeks.
There are very few restrictions on the order you must do these (only ML5, 7, 8, 9, 10 have pre-requisitse), so you don't need to wait until you get ML1 done to progress with most of the others.


As for artifacts and other stuff - well, you'll probably find it a bit tough going as an unguilded infiltrator without bot.

I think I missed the ML1 raids by the time I found fh [bw was still going last I played :]

Nope - you can do the raids and get all the steps done for mls 2 3 4 6 and 8 before you even bother going near krojer

you'll not get any of the abilities till you do 1 5 and 7 though

(ml5 requires ml1 to get in, ml7 requires ml3, ml9 requires ml8 and ml10 requires ml9)

People hardly do public ML1+ML2 raids anymore, only chance is to join private raids or make a grp or 2 yourself and then do it. ML3+ raids are still running sometimes.

All they take is a post here and people turn up. If it's well-run, you can do both with 1 good group - 2 groups and they're simple.

And there's always still normal people that didnt rush the ML's the first 2 months so they still have to do ML5+ on their main chars...

Highest ML in HG is RR5 or 6 I think...so no worries about "everyone is done with the ML's"
