Anyone else having problems connecting via PIPEX?

A few evenings ago I kept losing connectivity with the servers but it came back after a few hours. All morning today (6th Jun) I simply cannot connect to any of the game servers. The patch server works fine and the login server is inconsistant.

Since asking in IRC and nobody else seems to have the problem, and that when using my emergency 56k connection I can actualy connect to the servers, I can only assume that its a problem between PIPEX and GOA.

Any other PIPEX users can confirm this??

Oh and to confound things RightNow doesnt load either GRRRR

I'm also a Pipex user, not had any of the problems you mention - until now, when it seems I can't contact the Update server.....

And after some experimentation.... cannot connect via Pipex Anytime, but can connect via the standard 'pay-as-you-go' Pipex account....

I have exactly the same problem, cannot connect to update server on my pipex dsl connection but have no trouble when using 56k dial up.
Tried phoning Pipex but as usual permanently engaged:mad:

If you are on a dial up connection and live in the UK - try this -

go to dial up networking and create a new connection using the following info

number - 0845 0880088

user/pass anything

This is a company called Freewire and they charge standard Local rate for calls to them.

It is purley a web connection - but you can register with them for e-mail etc. I use it only when i can't connect to stuff with my Freeserve account. That way i can find out if it is my PC, or the servers that are playing up.

Hope that helps out
