Cant we find a way where we can meet and then join a Barry BF1942 server? Last night we were with 4 players.

If needed i can put up a Barry BF1942 subscriber forum on our website. Then we have a fixed place to meet and pick dates and times. In this way all the subscribers who wants to play Battlefield 1942 join at the same time and avoid a almost empty server.

I hate to mention it, but surely the only way people would find that is via these forums here, kind of defeating the point.

I don't mind where a meeting point is hosted, as long as we have one. Maybe we can make a ICQ or MSM list.

If we don't take action ourselves then only few people will subscribe again for a next period making the servers even more empty then they are now.

You could try #bwbf1942 on Quakenet, it was supposed to be a channel for organising games on the servers.

It'd be nice if the channel was slightly more used, as it stands there's one guy who doesn't even play the game in there and a bot, which means as you join you're faced with a blank channel, no topic.

i tend to hang around a server to practice me flying and hope someone joins,when they do im bolloxed cos i can only hit stationary targets

Yes, I'm always in there as well, it's slightly pointless sitting in a virtually empty channel without even a message for people who join.
