Anybody Resized a Small Image?

Hi...again...

Has anybody tried resizing a very small image eg:50x50 pixels. Tried resizing it to for example, 650x650 pixels? Obviously the quality is going to go titties up. Is there anyway around this with photoshop or anything?

So, i want an avatar but i want it from 50x50 to 650x650 with decent'ish qual, any ideas y'all? Thanks

You'll need a helluva lot of work with ye old image modifier to make it look good.

All i've figured out so far is...

Resize it from 65 650.
Auto Contrast / Auto Levels
Desaturate
Sharpen more and more.

I learnt all this in 1 day.

It´s 60 pixels wide and 60 high. You want it to be 650 which is almost 11 times the original size. So each pixel from the original pic would be 11 pixels (of the same colour) in the resized pic, so you´ll get a lot of 11x11 squares, each one of the same colour. Obviously that´s not what you want, but that´s all the information the original pic contains. Everything else you need to do manually, you can´t expect Photoshop to squeeze more information out of nothing.

As Tohtori said, it´s possible, but it´s a LOT of work and basically you´d need to pain the entire picture by hand/mouse.

I'm no genius at photoshop or blowing pictures up. Was just wondering if it was possible.
