Hi

I'll cut the chase and get straight to the point:

I've been developing a website for the new Quake 2 league Q2BattleUK and i'm having a little problem with netscape compatibility.

The site was made using Macromedia Dreamweaver 2. Looks fone in Internet Explorer (well, IE5 anyway, i don't have any others installed)

Rather than explain the problem, could someone (preferably with both browsers) and check it out, in IE you should see the proper page, in Netscape you will see it but it will be duff

The URL is http://www.barrysworld.com/extreme

Thanks in advance for any help, i've been tearing my hair out all noght

Thats gotta hurt..

Try making an auto-update link fer netscrape users (link on www.netscape.com ) so that they will have loadsa things dl/ed to see new stuff like shock and that.

(unless they have 4.51)
then it will work.
i cant have a look at the mo.. only work has that peice of crap netscrape..

Arghh, NO NO NO!!!

"This Internet site, images, articles, files and HTML/ASP/JavaScript/Visual Basic code are all copyright "Q2BATTLEUK" unless otherwise stated. "

How can this be? How can you possibly copyright the HTML code eh? Did you invent the <HEAD> tags, or <TITLE> ??

I'm not having a go at you here - but people just whack on a copyright thing as if 'thats it' - bung it up and voila - intellectual copyright protection.. NOT.

I'm off to start a new site that tells you exactly what is and isn't copyrightable.. and then charge a fortune for people to look at it

One more question about the same site if anyone can help.

My styles don't all work in netscape, some do, and some dont, i take it netscape can use the class tag?

If you look in IE its ok, in netscape some stuff works, some don't, i cant figure out why

I had a similar problem for ages, couldnt get pages to look right in netscrape, my pictures (made up in tables) were all fragmented, and all it was was the cellpadding tag. (or lack of it)!

All fixed, style problem was because Netscape doesn't like style classes to have underscores _ in the name, i.e .author_names

Oh well
