Any tips for 800+ Alch

Im trying to get my alch to 1000 and its becoming a long struggle

Im basically doing procs and charges all the time but i was wondering if theres any tips for more success?

i usually do orange till its yell and im bout 5pts above it then move to a newer orange and start again

but i just dont seem to make pts

if im lucky i get 1 pt from evey 10 items

is this just the norm at this lvl?

1 skillup for ever 20 orange item at 720 ish was enuff for me, cba doing alch anymore. dun think its worth the cash imho

Hi,

Here are a couple of cash saving tips

1) at 815 skill the best cloth dyes turn orange. These are sold to merchants for 15 gold, a loss of only 1.5 gold per make. Take advantage of these cheap dyes and if you make them until they go green your gonna save your self plenty of cash. These will go green at about 856 skill.

2) at 900 skill you have Ablative procs which nobody in their right mind will want on their weapons, but other alchemists may be keen to buy them off you at cost as they are needed as components for their reactive versions. These cost 75 gold to make and since procs/potions and charges are 50% loss, sell 10 to another alchemist and you have save your self 375 gold. A regular skilled high ranking Alchemist could order as many as 20 a time if your lucky.

3) The level 40 procs that your very close to at 800 skill are needed for the final push to 1000 skill. These are used as components for their reactive versions. If you can afford it vault as many as you can for later use. You will only have to make them again.

4) In a recent patch the 1000 skill poisons were moved back 10 points to 990 skill. Farm the components required (Ancient Lich Teeth & Ancient Necrotic Brain Fluid) and you can skip much of the level 40 reactives skilling (35 gold a loss, sale to merchant)

5) Get and be ready to sell your crafts, the more sales you make the less cash you are going to burn. Park your self in the right zones and have your /settrade who on at all times. Don't turn away to many little sales, a reliable alchemist is a very popular alchemist.

6) Be prepared to spend a lot of cash on reaching 1000 skill and don’t expect to start making a return on your investment until your able to make Ablative reactives. It cost me 50 plat to reach them and to break even.

Anyway, there are lots of tips: do not EVER EVER sell dot procs back to merchants vault EVERY SINGLE ONE you make, make new chars just o vault dot procs give em to yiru friends to keep 20 at a time for you, i valted about 100 and sold every single one. Then i regretted not making more becuase when u get to about 1050 or summat u can make the reactive DoTs which reqire teh volatile dots (saves u aboput 40g)

Any drop u see called Ancient xxx OR Enriched Quicksilver, do whatever u can to get it, steal beat up murder, slap and offer up to 10g each for em, theyr WORTH it. else youl be spending about 150g a point from 970-1020 or so and more afterwards, but thst sinevitable.

When you get to 1000 you can make some funky charges too, theyr not very cheap to make but are CHEAPER by a lil buit that the regular lvl 45 and 47 volatiles. Try to avoid volatile procs in general apart from Dot and sprit DDs cos ppl always buy em. And its good to have stock cos theres always people zooming in from emain etc wanting procs and pots and god knwos what else. My alch (del boy) always has about 20 top end reactive procs on hima and various other rubbish. Anything else is very fast to make so i dont bother keeping it in stock.

Also as someone earlier said, try and find a "buddy" lgm alch to sell your volatile ablatives to, and be prepared to sell em at cost price else youl miss out on free points and probably a new friend. Iv met several 900ish alchs this way and they all love me now cos i effectively payed for them to get about 30-40 points each.

If it cost you 30 plat to reach Ablative reactives and then break even that must be some kind of record. 15 plat to hit 1075 is very very good going mate well done

ahhh, no no. cost me 30 to ablatives. Iv done about 500plat worth of business to get to 1144 (cap) i rekon. and id broken even after i got to around 1130 or so i rekon.

Ahh gotya, 50 plat ofc wasn't worded very well.

Its gonna cost at least 25 plat then you have to make another 25 plat to break even and that’s just profit.... So either way its gonna take a lot of patience and customers to recover all your losses. I remember when I reached the magic figure of 1075 I didn’t have enough money to buy materials for my 1st customers

same here, i had to stoop to asking for cash b4 order made me feel dirty inside, at least now i can keep about 100 ablatives in stock if i could be arsed

simple way is..

/setwho trade

and advertise EVERYTHING u are making on /broadcast.. other alchs will sometimes buy stuff, and well as it making it known that u making stuff to a certain level..

can make a lot on dyes believe it or not.. and they usually come in multiple orders.

having said that.. i spent about 20p getting to 1000.. maybes more... aint going higher unless i self fund it with alch orders for other stuff.

What skill are the special/healing potions, are they still 1000? I went as high as 1035 doing these... You might as well buy or farm some components Ilaya and get as high as cheaply as you can

I don’t know about other realms but hib/pry, you can't give the components away

theres lots of necros farming the mobs that dorp these things and thus lots of drops. For an example i get a lot of:

Necro: Yo del, i got me some Enriched Quicksilver, can u make me some comabt usable heal/end pots for ma l33t inf?

Del: Aye m8y, gimmie 10g+drop per potion please.

and i make em.

yeah, i know what u mean nikolas.. and i got shitloads of stuff saved up but, as u can see from my sig.. i cant spend that much time skilling up on blue/green stuff..

orders for stuff lets me skill up on things that give me not only cash, but cash to skill up on better things that give increased % chance to gain..

more orders i get hibs, the more chance u get for the perfect crafter! going for all 6 here!
