Before the latest patch came out i had less charisma than i did after it came out, but the thing is i am now getting twice the amount of resists as before.
Noticed this a little while back but its now getting me really pissed, have died many times cause of resists.
Maybe this is Mythics way of nerfing skalds i dunno, anyway i would just like to know whether any other high lvl skalds are getting the same prob or is it just me.

I have noticed this - but thought it might be due to the fact that my Battlesongs is only at 24ish (and I am 35).

Ever thought that the enemy is increasing resistances also?

Maybe, but i thought magic resists were the same as physical resists, they reduce damage and not increase chance of resist.
Im probably wrong cause tbh i dont know too much about magic resists only that they reduce damage.

Magic resistance is also used when checking if you resist an effect totally.

Hmmm, news to me. As far as I know the chance to land a spell is purely level based with some randomness thrown in just to annoy people. The resistances only come into play when determining how much dmg is done against the delved value of the spell/effect. Thats why E.g. You can have 100% spirit resist (theoretically) and a clerics smite will hit, but do no damage :)

I do think the level of the DD Chant is taken into account. Currently I am in Spindelhalla, and on your purps in there (40+), one of my DD songs ALWAYS fails, and the other fails 50/50. And when it does hit it is very weak (30-40 damage).
So IMO the resistance must take chant level into consideration.

McDonalds, Skalds can take down mercs no problem at all, i can kill mercs most of the time and im always unbuffed.
They were either bad at playing skald or not lvl 50.

Strangely enough had the misfortune/fortune to bump into a skald last night with my merc. During the course of the fight i resisted every dd he threw at me and i have very little resistance on armour, with the result i managed to kill him with 3/4 health left. This has never happened to me before and normally get hurt by most of the dd. Just coiincidence i think though.

BTW optical the same can be said of an intelligently played merc can take down a skald.
