Last night i was nuking a savage and I got him downto like 30% and he started to charge me. The instant i saw him do it i started to cast root but he instashouted me. So i quickly qc and start casting root. He sprinted through my char, straifed and then stuck to me for some f**ked up reason it said i cancelled my qc and i was no longer facing him. I didnt cancel it, nor did i move to interrupt it, this makes no sense :( This isnt the first time this has happened, i would have killed him if I had landed the root.

Is this a bug? If so when and if does it get fixed? I wish i screenshotted it or console logged it but forgot to do so.

well, if he ran through you, you were not facing him and spell failed.

but maybe he ran through and stunned you?

I had face on him the whole time, and he didnt stun me because I could still move fine after he started hitting me. Its pretty hard to mess up my qc root because the qc and root are situated right next to each other on my hotbar.

The age old 'not in view' bug... There's a point that, if timed right, will give any caster a 'not in view' error... /face wont work... (requires them walking through you)

Its why you dont see many solo casters around, as a LOT of sb's / ns's do this and they call it 'tactics'...

If it happens to you in a solo encounter, the moment they run through you, sprint into the other direction... Gets you a nice distance most of the times...

Yeah only sb/ns use "tactics"

And doubt it will work to sprint away, I run through /stick and spam backstyles anyone trying to run away will only give me some extra backstyle swings.

Can you give me an example how one can "use face better"?

as already said: it's a bug when somene runs through you and you lose LOS even if you /face the target
Another disadvantage for the already 2nd class DD mages cause you can still cast PBAOE

Running through casters as they QC is lame and stupid, consider yourself an idiot if you do it.

There's also a few very neat tricks to screw tanks over... tho I don't use it too often... (no, not holding the window or anything)

Want to pay back to the shithead (all) tanks abusing this bug?
Not that you can blame them really though:)

Anyway I believe this tactic work to make tanks miss their styles and do ordinary hits instead of hitting anytime style...

Strafe left/right and at the same time do mouselook and then draw the mouse from one side to the other repeaditly. That should make you lagg a little and walk threw them a bit now and then making you not in view when they try to style. Resulting in a ordinary hit.

Yes, cloth casters is allowed to use any bug there is against tanks/assassins with good conscience.

Well, someone walking through you wont be /stick now will he? :)

Not everyone does it, but a lot of NS/SB's do, probably since as a solo caster, your 1 on 1 with them the most... Some tanks try this...

Anyways, they usually dont /stick, and even if they do, the lag they generate themselves by walking through you will then be nicely used against them... It works, not against all, but at least against some...

It could be a number of things, but most likely the /face bug/exploit.

1. "Target not in view" (run-through bug/exploit)
2. "You can't prepare a quickcast, you are already casting a spell" (if you have a spell qeued (sp?))
3. The quickcast timer ran out or you cancelled it (pressed it twice)
or my favorite...
4. "You quickcast purge" (yes!!!)

Last time I fought a caster, he didn't swing his stick so that's kinda hard. BD's are an exception but that's another thing...

well, you fucking guess wrong. I'd reckon that I've soloed/duoed about 1/4-1/5th of my 2mill rps rps, 1/3 of them unbuffed so fuck you velly much kthx.

Just like you are "supposed" to loose if a fullbuffed tank uses IP against you, are you "supposed" to loose if a fullbuffed mage uses moc+lifetap on you.
Release and come back and kill em, dont cheat only because you dont like to loose you mongtard.
