Another weekend without DAoC - Jumping Ship!

After yet another GOA fook-up i've decided to jump ship and move to the US version. Only problem i have now is, where the hell do i get a US version of the game? Can anyone tell me where to order it etc?

Edit : DVD Boxoffice is a Canadian company, and i'll never purchase again from a Canadian company. After purchasing a game from another company there I was lumbered with a hefty customs bill.

You can download a trial version off camelotherald which includes the SI engine but not the zones.

That`s enough to get you started atleast, you can then get the expansions once you have got yourself to a decent level to warrent the cost.

Yeah, sorry. I somehow got to the Founders club but still the monthly sub is $6.95.

They won't work, have to import them at least.

yes it will, but you just need some files (including login file, etc...) and then it will patch to US :worthy:
it really works I have also done the same a year ago

well u need the CD keys for US SI and ToA otherwise it won't work.

All you need to do is switch the update.dats for the US ones... and get yourself a US account.

Hey Brannor how u going. My studies are finished for the year so im coming crawling back to DAoC for a bit.

Ive had a run around a dead world in WoW and it seemed kind of intresting

Lineage 2 Beta was the biggest let down for me in Beta history a few weeks ago

Gotta go to college for an hour and hand in my Final Course work... *dances*

For info its not just getting a US copy - which can be done (topic was covered in CoH in more depth but Gamestop, Best Buy, maybe even Ebay - and others may ship).

Need to then get an account which you need to be careful of as Mythic licensed the game to GoA in Europe so - strictly speaking - they arn't supposed to allow you in. suggest you put the country code after the zip code or something.

As for ToA raids on US servers being dead - as Sigurd said. could well be th efuture of Prydwin though. 1.68 removed the incentive for folks to 'assist' and do a ToA mission again ....
