Another lame keep setup bug abuse

Well, even though that's not very nice of them and stuff, there's no need to post this on Barrysworld. Rightnow will sort this out.

how can u abuse something that u can't control ?

if u see a door open and enemies on the other side of open door, what would u do ?

it comes with old graphic drivers and heavy fps lag, report that they got old computers and maybe Rightnow will buy them new ones

Yeah, ported in, there was standing the ranger inside, tried to slam, hit pbt, ranger run out and returned with a champion and wtfpwned me, that was sure because of an old computer. You have to realize that something is wrong and strange when the others are hitting something with ram and weapons what you can't see and can walk through? Or is it normal @ keeptakes that ppl hitting the air? Ask somebody, someone sure knows that this is a bug, tells you, you quit and reinstall. No, they come through the door.

And yes, a list of these lamers would be good to put on a sticky thread, they will keep abusing this bug till they get punished, and not before.

wrong, they will use it until mythic gives a shit and take care of it....

but not everyone knows it is a bug, so i guess rightnow wont give a shit before he is reported more than once

I've seen lots of people hitting thin air tbh (my bm hits thin air when he tries to hit savages ;) ) but seriously, people who go afk while bashing doors are often seen bashing thin air when doors are already down.

Had this second door bug happen to me at a Renaris defence, friar comes in, hits me with staff then realises mistake and runs back again, not worth reporting as this person imo genuinely didnt know and was quick enough to react, maybe not everyone is as aware as this friar was.

Just hope because you died to these 2 people you werent a little rash in your actions and dont care if they get banned or not over what might be heat of the moment unawareness.

I can understand a quick mistake - friar running in, hitting someone and realizing that he had the bug.

However, these people were probably in there for a prolonged period of time. You have to wonder why these two particular people hadnt notice that:
A) The siege ram messages (there is a ram in the screenshot, every few seconds there should have been a "The siege ram smashes into the Albion Gate" thing - not too hard to miss.
B)The fact that most of their raid would have been hitting a gate that was invisible meaning most of them were afk although they obviously shouldnt be (as well as the "<player> attacks the Albion Gate with his/her <weapon>" times however many people on the gate)
C)the fact that the gate would probably have been like completely not there - If the gate had been broken open the doors would at least be open, if they were bugged the open doors would be nonexistant :p

At least based on the story and screenshots it seems that the two could probably have figured out what was going on if they had heard mention of the bug at all. :rolleyes:

Oh and tbh GOA may not even ban them and i doubt it'd be for long if they do - i reported people way back in the day for Bow of Flames stuff, being ganked outside of apk doors and the like, and nothing bad ever happened to them other than they patched a fix, woohoo. :rolleyes:

Edit : And it'd be nice to hear the other side of the story tbh :p

imo if goa/mythic were to ban these "bug abusers" there would be hell of alot of ppl banned...would goa ban all these ppl & lose precious coin? ....nah

end of the day..if it is a bug, its mythics prob, they cant punish ppl for a fuck up they made in the 1st place.

& before you ask..nope i havent abused it as i dont have the bug :p

I don't want them to get banned, I want ppl to spread the word, "If 2nd gate is missing, quit immedietly and reinstall the game". I hope GOA will write them a mail, that "you are accidently patched to the US version please reinstall the game", and if they do it again, suspend the account for maybe a week for the first time, and if they still using it, ban them to hell. I know it is Mythic's and GOA's fault too, but it's bug abusing.

IF YOU SEE NO 2ND GATE @ KEEPS, GET OUT OF THE GAME AND REINSTALL IT!!!!

Abusing a bug, no matter who's fault the bug is, is a bannable offense.
it's a shame people feel the need to abuse them to gain an advantage tho...

This is getting tired and boring now - not people posting about the door bug, but the fact is still bloody exists in the European environment. I wonder if those two Hib's would have been 'more aware' of the situation if a FG of Albs pounced on them.

I just feel sorry for the 'dial-up' user that has to reinstall though. It's a shed load of content to download to fix a Mythic / GOA screwup.

When I was on with dial-up (33.6), I had a backup copy on CD after all patches, in case of something goes wrong.

Even if they are realm mates of mine I can only say report them, I'v reported a few kobi's who where useing the new keep design to hit me from where I could not be hit.
