This one is a realism game, you know standard counter-strike stuff, but looks Really Pretty, plays really well, and well, ffs you should get it.
Its on the BW fpt, or get it from their site , its definately worth a go at only 77mb or something

a) Moving Target thinks everything is crap, though it doesn't stop him playing it .
b) It is much better than Urban Terror, which indeed did have q3 plastered all over it. It is very un-q3-like in how it plays

Sadly I would say the same of this mod after looking at the maps.

Well, if you have q3 give it a go, I think its very good, and not at all q3-ish, much less so in fact than say , RtCW.
Having said that, I was only trying to help people, so sue meh :/

To be honest that is a gaping hole in your collection of pc games . I would suggest going out and buying Q1 2 and 3 at the earliest time, if only to salve your self-respect !

Ive got Quake 1 & 2 but didnt think Q3 would be worth the effort tbh

Quake 3 in itself a fine game. RtCW, made with the Q3 engine. SoF2, also made with the Q3 engine.
Not to mention RtCW-ET, or RA3, or 3wave, or them Star Trek games, or god only knows what else.
ECA is someone who thinks the world begins and ends with counter-strike, which is actualy fairly representative of the breed, but which earns him much mockery hereabouts, as Im sure you have noticed

Quake 2 was not overrated ECA. Doom 1 and 2 are very very boring and repetative by todays standards (IMO).

I thought that Q3 was the most overrated game ever tbh.

Its not even really a game, just a showcase for the engine.
Im not a fan of vanilla DM so thats 95% of the game ignored straight away, and the bots couldnt even play the supplied CTF maps properly. I had tons more fun playing UT, which imo is a far superior game.

Saying all these other great games are made from the Q3 engine doesnt mean Q3 is good, just the engine

Q3 is ok. I just preferred the gameplay in UT even if the engine was a bit more 'quirky'.
