Another Fraps FPS problem...

Hi guys,

I seem to get about 15 fps when I record in Fraps, and it's really starting to niff me off.

My Rig at the mo is as followed:

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego
Asus A8N-SLi Premium PCI-E
WD Caviar SE 200GB
Hiper Modular 580 PSU
2GB Corsair XMS3200 CAS2
Leadtek GeForce 6800 GT 256MB PCI-E

Which, in my opinion should be able to handle it easily. I'm not sure if it's something with the Fraps settings or my in-game options, but it's very annoying.

Any help would be appreciated. As I'm stuck as to what to do.

set ingame res to 1024 x 768 unless you play on a 19+ inch screen, set fraps to record at 30 fps, set fraps to record to a different drive than the one you are using at the moment, ensure latest graphics drivers are installed and quality settings for those drivers are set to performance.

Thats about all i can think of off the top of my head.

edit: How well does your SD OC? I've taken mine as far as 2.9 on air

Ok, thanks for the suggestions Naff. I do use a 19" TFT btw.

I havn't tried to OC it, I'm too worried I'll ruin it hehe.

Mine runs with more power throughput than a stock FX-57, so 600 quids worth of performance for 130 quid, im not complaining
