Another Event NPC - Velfaür the Astrologer

Velfaür the Astrologer is outside the first building on the left after leaving the "tunnel" from the mage training area in TNN. He says:

"Greetings, the name is Velfaür, personal astrologer and theoretician of Lady Brigit. I am just back from a long journey in the Far North. It would seem that a strange sickness is weaking (incorrect spelling included) our ranks while the dark druids are gathering in number in many hidden places. Many wisemen, including the honourable Lobais, say that the current year is one of [many ills]. I fear all my personal predictions are confirming theirs.

According to my viewings, the conjunction of the Deer and the Blood Tear will bring no good. When I saw this strange red star in the sky above the Cursed Forest the other day, I knew that I was heading the right way in my predictions. It would be a good thing for you to be careful from now on, even more when the rain and the storm rage on our land. Good luck to you fair one, and may Lugh follow you in your dreams."


Does anyone have any further information on this?

Does anyone know if Ciar, a female Saracen, is a new NPC? She hides in the undergrowth near the evergreens and dead trees near where the Howth-Connla road turns left to go close to the river again. I was told she is not listed on warcry.

Ciar is part of the Enchanting Willow quest, a low level quest for druids, mentalists and blademasters.

She's not supposed to be a Saracen, though. Odd.

Well, she is definitely a Saracen .. dark skinned .. little flat hat on .. light coloured cloth armour. Weird.

Errr .. NO.

The above link is to a thread about Rysa .. I don't believe my original post was about Rysa. That Rysa thread didn't even have the word "event" in the subject.

Move the other thread to this one by all means, but don't ask me to bury my topic in a thread whose title has nothing to do with the event.

dont know what she is for - it works like a normal merchant

That stranger near mardagh is also neutral and then it can be killed.

The best thing is that it drops over 50 silver each time and spawns instalty so it can be used as money maker

So, is this a bug or not? any ideas?

It would be sad to loose account by taking advantage of a known bug.

Be careful of that stranger ... I did see a death message for a lvl 50 (who shall remain nameless to avoid any embarassment) who was killed by stranger.

i was waling past ardagh yesterday and the stanger was fighting the 2 guardians near the tower.. they killed her but didn't have that much health left.

That stranger near Mardagh cons blue to me and at lvl 41 (now) it's easy to kill, takes 1 minute to whack it

...but it's another thing that is it right to kill it for money
