I know there's a alot of info on here already but would just like some advice and guidance on how to get 2 accounts running on my current system, and some hopefully simple questions!
I've tried running my account, then starting another up using a mates, but whatever one i'm not using always goes LD in mins. getting really frustrated as I'd read somewhere about /clientsleep coming in, so got another copy but still can't get it to work. Please help!!!

System atm
=========
xp1800+
768mb ddr 2100 (I think)
gf4200ti 64mb
win2ksp3

I can upgrade memory with another 512mb and possibly a graphics card but would have to be very cheap so may not be worth it atm.

I've got 2 copies of daoc, both with toa.

Ok, now for the questions ;)

Is it possible to run 2 accounts using this setup?

what do you have to have /clientsleep set to for each account?

do i have to install both copies of the game and use the different .exe's? (seems weird I know but read something about it in another post and got confused), or can i just run from the one install, just changing the keys/acc numbers?

If i need to upgrade whats most important?

what settings should i use for each account (windowed, res, fx etc.)?

and i've seen people saying they run SI for the bb account, but my originial account is now TOA and the new one is an all-in-1 pack so how can i do this?
or do they mean they only use old and SI and don't go into ToA at all?

thanks alot in advance for your help all :))

From personal experience you should be okay running the same exe and file directories for both accounts. This means you can use the install form your original (non all-in -one) account for both. Thus you can find the .exe. file you used to use to launch the game to run your BB. Not this will note work in TOA zones ofc. Alternatively just turn the graphic detail right down for both accounts and turn off pre-caching.

/clientsleep made virtually no difference for me because i think it mainly effects your GPU processing load. Was 'okay' didnt have LD's before but could not /stick. Looking at your spec your CPU is quite slow so is most likely your main problem. I would think you should be looking at at 3000XP at least (which if compatiable with your mobo you should be able to get for circa £100) . /clientsleep should help alleviate some of the stress on your graphics card which is the other bottleneck you are gonna have.

Moving to two machines was the cheapest fix for me. If you want to use a KVM switch you are only up for a new box which should be easy and cheap for you to put together esp if you have some spar parts lying around from previous upgrades.

/client sleep background should work fine, and i tend to run both accounts in windowed mode, with back ground services having priority..neither goes LD EVER now..well at least unless i leave em for 2 hours or something but yer know what i mean.

my machine = XP2800+ overclocked to about a 3200ish, 512MB 400MHz DDR, GE-Force 5950 ultra.

You do NOT have to use different CD-keys for each account. A valid CD-KEY is fine for any account. So dont worry about swapping what is in that box that appears when you first start up DAOC.

Run both accounts for seperate directories for best performance too i.e copy folder and run one from there.
