im without the net at home and want to check my mail and things lol

You need to use an internal corp. proxy to bypass your firewall(s) to reach internet ?...anyway

Or alternatively, if you want to keep your job and not piss off the systems administrator, don't do this.

If I ever caught any of my users trying to bypass network security i would put in a direct complaint to the COO and push for a written warning.

You're only exempt if you control the rules on the firewall.

At school there was one website that wasnt blocked called www.proxyportal.com or smt cos we amanged to get pr0n on the white boards etc ;\ School gone evil now and blocked cmd, regedit and everything else! :-o

Or go to http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and translate the website to english.
Since it is now altavista requesting the page and displaying it in a frame your proxy won't notice
