How do I get rid of them?

I've tried spyware removal programs, anti-virus etc and I still have them!

lol.bmp.jpg

As you can see there is one toolbar below the address bar, and the other is above the taskbar. The one above the taskbar is really bloody annoying, whenever I open IE it pops up and I cannot close it without ending a process called iexplorer. Sometimes it even downloads links to Mortgage sites, Casino sites etc onto my bloody desktop!!!!!! Even worse I cant delete them I have to end process iexplorer to get rid of them, not much use because they come back like 10 seconds later!

Any suggestions?

I also used HijackThis, not sure what all the stuff means, if somebody would be kind enough to translate it for me :)

also check in your add/remove programs ( found in control panel) for any programs with "toolbar" in there .... my ickle sister festered up my machine with these... some had to be removed with spybot ( www.safer-netowrking.org) others i had to uninstall.

What one? The Lavasoft one or the many other billions :m00:

Lavasoft one yes, it should be top of the list, do an update on it before running the scan. I'd still do this even after doing what Req said.

btw uninstalling doesn't work with most of that spyware crap. I had a support query yesterday with a guy who's pc was popping up adverts etc I unistalled all the crap he'd stuck on his (work) pc, ran adaware and it still had the reg keys and such listed for the stuff I'd uninstalled, had alost 800 critical alerts. Now has 0 and works so much better.

Actually from what I gathered when i had that shit is, im guessing you installed Msgplus for MSN altough I guess it can be taken from other progs aswell.
If this is the case, DO NOT use adaware, spybot etc. This will remove some files and wont let you uninstall. (This is what I did until I looked for another solution and came up with this).
If you did install msgplus take uninstall and when you get the popup of removing sponsor programs type in the numbers and hopefully your free. I had to restart comp/remove stuff back an fourth until it actually solved.
Hopefully this will help you, if not I have 2 standalone exe´s that work exactly like the popup when you try to uninstall which might be of use to you.
Don´t have a link or so but im know on mirc as Tinu|zz.
Also even though it was solved, I switched to Firefox and never looked back.

Me too, until the spyware developers start hacking into Firefox's process, that is.

Firefox is another webbrowser, you should really upgrade to it. I did some time ago and not looking back to internet explorer at all :)
