OK not enuff info here to tell you what's up - but due to a little court case that happened between Microsoft and Sun Microsystems (Java) versions of windows no longer come with Java - try d/l Sun Java - its free - and should solve your problem.

Even if your version of Windows did have Java - it won't have been updated for the same reasons and won't work.

Worked for me so give it a go :)

javascript isn't java, LawBringer - entirely different despite the names (stoopid things)

what browser are you using Athinz (help->about usually tells you)

Have you got flash installed?

To get the Runtime Environment go here:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

Scroll down to this tab:
J2SE v 1.4.2_08 JRE includes the JVM technology

And click on:
Download J2SE JRE

I hope that that works out. But Java and JavaScript are different things. :)
Can't hurt to update the JRE anyway though.

My only issue with Firefox is that if I save a new favourites, it doesn't overwrite the same named ones like IE does. Which makes Firefox evil for reading webcomics. :( Other than that, Firefox is pretty great. :)

Oh, and ding legendary armorer! \o/

Well.. yeah.. that's rather evil of the fox.

However, most comics have a 'last comic' URL.. y'know what's even cooler?
You can create a 'folder' on the 'quickbar' (below the URL bar) and put all the comic URL's in it. If you click the folder with your middle-mouse-button (scrollbutton), then it opens all of them in tabs! Pretty nifty if you wake up and wanna check your comics.

My 'comic' folder currently holds:
http://www.thenoobcomic.com/
http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/index.php?t=archives&date=last
http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php
http://pc.gamespy.com/flintlocke

As for the problem, go to the Internet Options in your control panel (or via IE), go to the security tab, and hit 'Default Level' and press OK.

Be sure to close IE & Outlook after/before you've done that. Start Outlook again, or internet explorer. If it still whines about javascript, go to Internet Options again, press the 'Advanced' tab, and press 'Restore Defaults'.

If it still bitches then.. meh.. I dunno what causes it.

Yeah, but the problem with Last Comic is that if I forget to check it for a couple of days, then I will have to scroll back several pages meaning I catch glimpses of the storyline past what I'm at. :(
