I've made a animist got him to level 5, got some turret spells but how do i deploy them???

I try the standard pet casting of Target Enemy --> Press button

But it says "Your area target is out of range. Select a closer target"

Anyone know how to deploy the pets plz? (Bombers work fine it's the turrets that i'm having trouble with :()

I've been shown ingame how to do it but... i've been playing about with them, surely the Forest heart are meant to obey me and not try and kill every living thing on the planet?

Welcome to the joys of another bugged and incomplete Char.

Nice idea on the outside.... horribly implemented.

Class with Necromancers and Bonedancers as "would be nice if it was finished".

To place the turret, press and hold F5. You will see a cursor appear on the ground below you. Move that cursor around with your arrow keys and release F5 to target.
Then press the quickbar key to place the turret.

ps Only the turrets from your spec lines is controllable. Base line turrets (forrest hearts among others) are uncontrolled (=aggroes everything in sight from blue-red con).

Actually i think i'm starting to get the hang of the turrets :) i chained pulled some green-blue con's, no downtime and they were all dead in a few seconds, impressive :) but the heal pets don't seem to erm, heal lol, which is weird.

Also in Hibernia why is everything so expensive? On Albion when i was new i had everything i needed and got all the money i needed through hunts, on Hibernia i can't even afford the best cloth armour for my level :(

Thanks :) they're quite good for cleaning a area of green-blue, but the fact that they die after 2 minutes is a serious factor as to whether i'll use them. I like my controllable pet though :) i lure them, he kills them, a nice working relationship hehe.

Animists are fine if you figure out how to use them, not a touch on the overpowered scale compared to bonedancers and necros atm.

I think we've worked it out :) Two friends and I have been playing for a few hours, i kept making my pet and 4 turrets while keeping them happy i.e. healing them, and the Valewalker kept luring stuff to it (blue-red con mobs :D) and the Bard healed my pets, it worked superb. I just got a root turret too which will be gret for getting out of sticky situations :D

I love "perspective".

For a necro to kill in a keep take (at present), they have to at least be able to see the target once. A bonedancer need LoS for its insta-lifetap, and is really, quite average in keep raids. A Keep defense, lets a necro go ballistic.

Just how on God's green earth can you claim that animists are not overpowerred? A class that can summon pets without LoS, and pets that will continually nuke without LoS anything that comes near. Animists are by far THE most powerful class at present in a keep raid. Slap down a few pets along the outside of the keep wall, and all the defenders have to back up out of range.

Out in the open? In zerg worfaire? Sure, animists have to GT summon pets, which can be a pain. That's where the BD owns and the necro does average to weak.

Only the Supp BD is overpowerred, and then only in Open RvR. A Necro is only good in a fixed position, at present, after the next patch, they'll become about the rarest RvR class there is.

IMO, animists do fine in RvR, and in a keep raid, can take all enemy casters out of the equation with permanent interruptions.

I can see why people think they need powering up for RvR because u have to lay them in place before u can do anything... they're definately not a quick kill race they take time and preparation and will be superb in keep raids and defense :)
